Back in his manor the dark lord was going over everything he had witnessed tonight, he was confused as to why Nagini would be helping the boy like that and how did she came across him, he was even more confused as to why the boy would be interested in his life specially before he became the dark lord and why would he ask Nagini about him having a lover. After pondering over everything he decided to call his death eaters to find out which one of them attacked potter "Wormtail" he called, making the rat like man hesitantly came into the throne room "yes my lord "the man asked as he bow down in front of him" your hand Wormtail "the dark lord said. Pettigrew moved forward hesitantly with his arm stretched out, the dark lord put his wand on the mark of his arm to call his death eaters. And waited as one by one his death eaters started to apparate in front of him into the throne room and bow in respect.
"Harry potter has been attacked "he said watching it sink in before adding "and from what has come to my attention gravely injured. So my question is which of my loyal followers decided to attack him without my knowledge, because if I remember correctly I told every single one of you that he was MINE and I will be the only one to have control over his life or death" he watched as his followers shiver in fear by his anger while saying "never my lord" or "how could we my lord' Hearing their answers he said "Find out who attacked the brat and bring them to me" he said in dismissal. He waited until everyone was out of the wards to go and find Nagini, only to find out that she has not come to the manor yet, so he decided to question her the next morning and descended to his bed chambers.
In the morning he found Nagin curled up in front of the fireplace enjoying the heat "where were you last night" he asked his familiar "I was looking for you but couldn't find you, even through our link" Nagini looked at him but did not answer making him angry "answer to me when I am asking some thing" he hissed angrily "if you listen to me without getting angry I will tell you" she said. He wanted answers so he decided to listen to her "alright I will listen" and so she begins to tell him the story about how she met the boy and what happened.
"Few days ago I was hunting in the woods when I found a boy wounded on the forest floor, I could sense magic coming from him so I decided to help him only to find out that the boy was Harry potter, so I helped the boy but no matter how many times I asked the boy never told me who had hurt him and when I asked him to come to you he denied saying you would kill him if he come here so I have been going to him every night since then to help the boy out a little" she told him. He was more then surprised to hear how Dumbledore's biggest weapon against him was living, for him to accept the help of his familiar. "You have to help the boy Tom he is hurting and lonely, he does not have anyone to go to" she said, the dark lord did not understand why his familiar was saying such a thing, didn't potter had his friends and muggle family to help him but he still did not understand how the boy got hurt so bad that his magic couldn't heal him.
"Alright I shell go with you the next time you meet the boy" he said before saying at the pointed look of his familiar "without killing him". He wanted to meet the boy to find out what had happened and pursue him to join the dark side or at the very least become grey.So the next time Nagini went to meet the boy he went along with her to find out the truth about the boy's life.
