On the tube we all sit near each other, making jokes and laughing. I'm sure people were getting annoyed with us but we kept on having a blast.
Finally, we got out at a stop and exited the station on Bond street. Before I got a chance to look around, and do that dramatic 'new to the city, getting out of the train, look around' thing, I was dragged to the sidewalk.
We were patiently waiting at a crosswalk. Louis kept on playfully bumping into my shoulder, so I did the same. So there we were, acting like children at the crosswalk.
"Stop bothering her Louis, before I ground you." Millie said.
"What if she's the one that's bothering me? He asked.
"I know for a fact she isn't."
"Wow," Louis said with a exaggerated hurt expression. "It's only been a day, and you're already taking her side?"
"I'll always take her side." She responded, turning back around to face the street. I gave Louis a smug look, and he gave me another shoulder shove before we crossed the street.
Once we were on the other side of the road, we continued to walk. Caleb and I struck up a nice conversation, mostly him asking how the adjustment to a new country was going.
"But what I reall-" I was in the middle of a sentence when Louis cut me off, by literally cutting off my ability to see.
"Louis why are your hands covering my eyes?"
"Because," he said, his mouth near my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. "We're getting close."
I cleared my throat. "Okay... but why does that mean I have to have my eyes covered?" I asked, trying to tug his hands off my eyes, but failed due to him being stronger than me.
"Cause it's funner." He answered. As we both cautiously walked, him guiding me.
"Funner is not a word."
"Is too."
"Is not."
"Fine," he said. "It's the funnest."
"You need to go back to 5th grade."
"I think you mean year 6." He teased.
"Oh, shut up."
"Okay, " he said, halting to a stop. "We're here."
"Are you ready Avalon?" Sadie asked excitedly.
"So you guys were just not going to interfere with me practically being blindfolded and kidnapped?" I asked, more aimed at the group.
"It was very entertaining to watch." Noah admitted.
"You know you liked it." Louis said into my ear so no one else could hear.
"You wish, Partridge." I said, shifting my head to face where I felt his presence.
He took his hands off my face and I noticed how close our faces were. He looked at me with a smirk, as my eyes widened and my face heated up.
I cleared my throat and turned away from him, looking up at the building we were standing in front of.
"No. Fricking. Way."
"Yes way,"
"I've wanted to come here before I was even in the country." I said, clearly excited. We were at the Wallace Collection. It's a museum filled with paintings, sculptures, furniture, and armor. I've seen pictures of it online, and it is beautiful.
I stood there and looked at the building with amazement. Even the outside was beautiful.
"Well," Gaten said, "what are we waiting for? Let's go!" And with that the 8 of us were off.
