The king and queen of Edrin became aware of their daughter's absence since the morning. Together they sit on their golden thrones, worried about their daughter and friends. "She's gone! Oh, I can not believe she's gone!" said the queen in distress. "She, and her friends. I should have known they were trouble from the beginning."
"I could not agree with you more on their disappearance, but the others are fine." the king tried to calm her. "However there are bigger problems at the moment."

The king was right. It was the moment after he spoke that a servant entered the hall, and announced the prince of Baltnia. He was a little taller than Merlinda with black eyes. His hair was black, as well, but there was a purple streak on the side. "Greetings, your majesties. How is my lady?" he asked. The king and queen gave a look of uncertainty. "Well, Prince Nathan...apparently the princess is...missing." said the king. This made Nathan's expression change from warm to cold. "What?" He said in anger. "She is not here?"
"Our guards searched the entire kingdom, she is nowhere to be found." the queen said.
"No worries, your majesties, I will find her, and see to our marriage." Nathan's warm voice returned.
"Thank you, Prince Nathan, please bring them back safely. Ash and Melody, her close friends left with her."
"I shall, for you both." Nathan bowed as he exited.

Prince Nathan and his men arrive to his castle. Once he sat in his black throne, his face shifted the darkness. "How could this happen?!" He said coldly. "I had a group of you within the kingdom to prevent this! You!" He pointed to the second guard along the row of guards from the entrance to Nathan's throne. "Come forward!"
"Yes, sir." The guard spoke directly.
"Do you know what this means?!"
"No, sir."
"My plans are compromised!" his voice grew louder. "Years of planning, waisted! take a few men with you, and find her! I care not of her friends, kill or leave them!"
"As commanded."
"One other thing...if you fail me, or if she is injured." Nathan said calmly. "I will eat you!" coldly.
The guard nodded, took a few men, and left.

Nathan took a deep breath, and called another guard forward. "Yes, sir."
"How's our plan on the destruction of Edrin going?"
"Well, sir."
"Excellent."
"However..." Nathan look was starting to turn again. "I'm unsure about doing this. It's not right."
"You judge my decisions." A vortex of black smoke grew and swirled around Nathan until he was covered. Within seconds Nathan became his dragon form. With black and purple scaly skin, and big black wings. His head was the size of two horse skulls, and had claws so sharp that trees could be sliced like paper. "Mine!" his voice had more bass than before. He moved forward to the guard, who backed up with every move. "No, sir"
the guard said uneasily.

"I've been hiding this from that family for years! Do you know why?"
The guard nods in fear. "It's because I wanted the jewel of the kingdom, the princess." Nathan continued. "And don't I deserve that jewel?!" The guard continues nodding. "I do! My plan was set! I would take Merlinda as my wife, and destroy the kingdom afterwards. Thus giving me complete control. I will have the kingdom rebuilt, but in my image. The princess will be clueless, and you..." The guard is now against the wall at the end of the hall. The guard wails as Nathan lifts him with his finger. "You judge my decision. I have no need for judgement from anyone upon my decision." Nathan throws the guard in the air, then, into his mouth. After, Nathan turns to the line of guards, and points to the last one on the right. "Y-Yes, s-sir." The guard says as he trembles with fear.
"Make the preparations for my princess and the attack on Edrin."
The guard nods, and leaves in relief.

"If they fail to bring her, then we'll make other ways for her to appear." Nathan lets out a laugh, then, disappears into shadows. The guards return to business.
