i invited you to a picnic. just the two of us. we haven't been hanging out with each other lately. i missed your smile.

i decided to be bold today. i fed you your favourite fruit, strawberry. you took a bite of it, juice dripping down the side of your lips.

you stare at me as you wiped the corner of your lips with your thumb. you licked your thumb as you watched my reaction.

i gulped. oh the things you do to me. you left me gaping. you chuckled deeply as you pat my head, messing up my hair. i could hear the sound of my heart beating in my ears.

"yah," i shoved you away, feeling hot and flustered.

i lay on your lap as you play with my hair. i expected you to push me away jokingly, but you didn't. i felt the sun on my face. however, you used your hand to shield my eyes from the sunlight.

why were you being sweet to me? it makes me want to expect something more from you.

all of a sudden, you tucked a daisy into my ear. you grin from ear to ear as you looked down on me. your smile made me smile. if only you knew what it means to give someone a daisy.
