seven years later

I flipped my hair to contrast against the breeze of the air when I stepped out of the cab I rode while holding my bags and trolley in my hand.

I just got back from Japan and I was more than glad to see our old house that my Mum didn't want to sell. For several years now, I have been inviting Mum to come home with her or if not, maybe I alone would be back here, but she wouldn't let me.

But my Mum did not decline as my job dictated that I have to return to this country, specifically to this place to live temporarily.

Finally, I was able to return to the place where I grew up. The place that is so important to me- where it holds countless happy and upsetting memories. It's been so many years but it seems like everything happened just a month ago.

And now I'm back with a mission.

Before I returned to England, I talked to my chief that if possible, I would just send my reports and articles through Owlmail, luckily he agreed.

I am a columnist in one of the biggest Wizarding news house in Japan called Japan Daily which pays me almost half a hundred-thousand galleon for my honest opinion each month.

I am thankful to my chief that I can send through Owlmail the reports I accomplished in my own advantage that it will not be an obstacle nor a hindrance to the reason why I want to go home.

As I enter the house with the key on my hand, my face grimaced at the view of this house full of dust and cobwebs all over, in each corner. It's been a few years since no one has lived here at home so I expected this.

It looks like a long clean up is what I'm going to do for the entire day. But since I'm a skilled witch and a bit lazy, I'll just use the magic spells I learned from Mahoutokoro and Hogwarts.

After I put away the bags I was carrying and tied up my long hair I immediately cleaned the whole house. From living room, dining area, to kitchen. We left a lot of food that was definitely expired, so I threw it away, along with the expired shampoos and soap from the bathroom.

Magic here, magic there, that's what I did using my wand. Then I decided to mop the floor manually using the old mop stored inside the cupboard.

All the corners of the house, I cleaned properly until I reached the second floor of our house. Even though I was still a little tired from the trip, I forced myself to clean the whole house so that tomorrow I would rest and have nothing more to do.

You're probably thinking, "Why don't you just Apparate than travel through airplane?" My answer is that I can't do that, unless necessary. As a protection to myself as well in the Wizarding World because it would be a huge risk if ever a Muggle accidentally saw me Apparating, both for my safety and everyone's.

I didn't realize that night was coming. If my stomach hadn't hurt I wouldn't have known it was dark outside my house. I'm so worn-out and tired, but that's fine with me. The most important thing to me right now is that I cleaned the house in which I will live in from now on. Cleanliness was after all my Mum's thing.

I was tired of walking when I get inside my room. My old things are still here- hair accessories that my Mum bought, dragon-fang necklace made by Charlie for me, books Percy and Hermione lent me, a purse from Gringotts given by Bill and the matching souvenir Ginny and I bought from the Quidditch World Cup. Oh, and some of Fred and George's prank stuffs.

Before I went to bed I made sure my bedroom window was open to let the cold night's air in freely. It was facing our neighbor's room.

Suddenly my heart jumped out of my body for inexplicable reason, perhaps out of fear, excitement or joy.
