What happened?!

Looking around, I see that I am in the claw of a machine. I look down to see corpses of other robots. It was like a giant claw machine. My leg had been crushed. Would humans call this an inverted knee? Probably.

OBJEKTIVE: GET OUT
IMMIDEATLY.

The claw brought me to a huge conveyor belt. It dropped me on there like it didn't have a care in the world. I immideatly try to get up, but my leg was broken. If I can't walk, I'll crawl. I crawled past robot corpses, looking at me with nothing in their eyes. Some were dead, some accepted their fate. But noone tried escaping like me. I saw where the conveyor was taking us. A giant, fiery pit. I crawled the opposite way and was looking for a way out. I stepped on something. A steel rod. Steel is strong. I took it and went to the edge, where the conveyor belt touched the wall.

I held up the rod.

I concentrated on my target...

A silent video played in my head. It was in first person.

They were holding up a steel rod.

Concentrated on the target.

And stabbed the target.

...

...

The target was a soldier.
A human one.

And I was the guilty one.

I snapped back and jammed the rod in the belt.

Smoke.

A lot of smoke. I must've hit a vital part because it stopped moving.

I laid down and pretended to be shut down

I laid down and pretended to be shut down.

I heard footsteps.

Voices.

"The fuck happened here?"

"I don't know! Maybe one of those....creatures did this."

"C'mon, let's tell boss."

They left. Through a big metal door.

A few seconds later I crawled to the door and looked up at the handle. I reached up and barely opened the door. I carefully looked through. I saw a giant hall full of metal. No windows. Artificial lighting. A replica of something natural. Like me.

I looked to my right and saw a type of vent. I quickly crawled to it and tried to open it. I balled my hand to a fist, about to punch it.

Click

I hit a button on my hand, turning my pointer finger into a screwdriver.

Well this is better than the alternative.

I open it with my newly discovered power and crawl inside. There was a right and a left. I went to the left. I heard humans talking and crawled backwards.

Welp, only option left is right. As I crawled through the vent, I heard sounds of a unfamiliar lifeform.

KOOKABURRA: 99% MATCH, CONFIRMED

A kookaburra? What's that? I peered through the vents.

I saw...

Green

Lots and lots of green. And on a piece of brown in the green sat a small... bird? That's a kookaburra? Have I ever seen a bird...

Y0U H4V3.

A picture of a dead bird on a white background popped into my memory.

You're right, I have. I opened the vents and fell outside. On the green, tear shaped things.

The kookaburra flew away.

But why?

Do they not like me as much as I do?

As I looked at the green things, a word popped into my mind.

Leaf.

That's a leaf? I've never seen one before. I wanted to crawl onto the brown thing the bird was sitting on, but fell.

Down.

Down.

Down.

And gone. Again.
