BOOTING . . .

I woke up. I looked around and saw that I was on more green, but different than the leaves. My leg was still broken.

I crawled towards something. Something clear. It was clear and... blue. How can it be clear but visibly blue? I touch it. It made small waves.

What is this stuff?

WATER

Water... that's a nice word.
I look to my left and see brown. The brown goes up to alot of blue. But the blue is not like water. More dense. And there are white cotton pads in the blue.

SKY

CLOUDS

Sky and clouds. But what is the brown thing? It has leaves on it.

TREE

That's a nice word... Tree...
Tree...

I repeated the word in my mind exactly 193836 times.

I went and continued crawling forward. I saw a grey thing.

ROCK/BOULDER

I went up and sat on it.

What is my goal now?

...

I look around and behind me I hear a loud clang. I turn around and fall off the rock. I look up and see nothing. I crawl towards the sound. Maybe it was someone friendly?

I hope so.

I crawl all the way to a bush. I look through the bush by brushing the leaves aside. I see...

Corpses.

Corpses.

So, so many.

Humans, robots and a few animals.

They were piled on top of each other.

How horrible.

I went to the pile and started searching. I took out a robot corpse and one dog corpse. I look at the dog.

I am sorry for this.

I grab it's leg...

I rip it off.

I place it on the ground and look at it's proportions, moving it around.

I take 4 legs from the robots and place them in the shape of the dogs leg.

I look at my fingers. There are more buttons. I press one and a wielding tool comes out. I start connecting joints and the leg starts to form.

It looks like a dog leg.

But the joint to the pelvis can move 90° and the balance systems should be easily connected.

I remove my legs and give myself the robo-dog legs. This will help me survive.

I can walk now.

I stand up and test the balance system.

Perfect. I run back in the forest.

...

Well...

This is my life now.

I shall rot in this forest for eternity.
