Maybank commotion

I woke up, my head was pounding because of the hangover. I was still in my bralette and my shorts from last night. I pulled the comforter off my face, the bright sun hurting my eyes.

"God damn" I groaned then rolled on my back. I hovered my hand over my eyes to block the sun. I stood up then stumbled my way to the bathroom. I took a hot shower in attempt to lessen the hangover.

"Bree" I called her out, popping the Advil in my mouth and dry swallowing it. I stopped in my tracks to try to recall what happened last night and how we got home but failed. I only remember parts of it and everything else was a blur.

I opened her door to see her bed empty. Her sheets were very neatly laid, looking like no one even slept there. I furrowed my eyebrows and leaned on her door frame, trying to remember if I even went home with her last night.

There was no hope in remembering anything so I ran to my room and dialed her number.

"Where the fuck are you and why aren't you here with me?" I jabbered as soon as she picked up the call. "Why am I alone? How did I even reach my bed" I exclaimed.

"Chill out, Zoe. I'm at the country club, sipping mimosas with Topper" she laughed. "I'll order you an uber. Come here and have breakfast with us" she said vivaciously.

"No, how did I get home?" I asked, still desperate for answers.

"I'll tell you when you get here" she said then dropped the call. I stayed frozen on my bed, still trying to remember everything that happened at the party. I got interrupted when I got a text from Bree saying that the uber will come in 15 minutes.

I quickly changed into my biker shorts and my oversized shirt. I tied my short hair in a low ponytail, the front part falling down to my face then slipped in my vans. I shoved my phone, wallet, lip balm and the key card in my bag. I grabbed my sunglasses from my bedside table then ran out the door, locking it behind me.

"Hey" Bree said, she was wearing her biggest smile. I sat on the chair beside her and stared at her. "What?" she said while taking a bite of her toast.

"Don't what me. Why are you with Topper and not in the suite with me, Bree?" I chastised, my eyebrows still furrowed. "How the hell did I get home last night" I said.

"I dropped you off" I heard someone say. I turned around and saw the guy from the kitchen last night walk to our table, sitting on the chair beside me while sipping on his mimosa. "You don't remember that?" he asked, placing the glass flute on the coaster. I stared on the plate, my eyes wide.

"I asked him to drop you off, Zoe. Bree and I slept at Kelce's house" Topper calmly said while looking at me. I remained silent, still lost for words. I didn't know what to think or feel. Did we have sex? Did he sleep with me then left early? Did I say or do anything stupid? I looked at the guy beside me. He was eating his pancakes like nothing happened. I don't think I should panic, I don't think nothing happened because he looks so calm, I thought.

"Do you even remember his name?" Bree laughed. "I think you don't remember anything" she said. "Here, I ordered you a drink" she said, passing me the mimosa the waiter just served.

"I'm Rafe" the guy said, offering his hand for me to shake. I stared at him for a moment then awkwardly shook his hand. He chuckled and went back to eating.

I finally remember him. He's the guy Sarah was talking about at the chateau. He was the guy who bought a dirt bike instead of the generators and apparently, the guy who dropped me home last night.

"What do you want for breakfast?" Bree passed me the menu and I slowly took it, still trying to process everything. I can't believe I'm eating breakfast with the kooks and we partied last night. I ordered pancakes and another glass of mimosa to ease the hangover.
