Jealous Nikki (Chapter 9)

She reached home, her sisters already there. 

Varnika: Kaha thi tu? ( Where were you?)

Muskaan: Woh di mai apni dost, Siya ke ghar gayi thi. Aap dono itni jaldi kaise aa gayi? ( I had gone to my friend, Siya's home. Why did you both come so early?)

Nikki: Wait nahi kar paaye zyada. ( We couldn't wait much.)

Varnika: Ha. ( Yes.)

Muskaan smirked. 

M: Mujhse milne ke liye wait ho pa raha tha ki ahem ahem. ( Couldn't wait to meet me or ahem ahem.)

She fake coughed, and they both blushed but Nikki hid it before anyone could see, Ashu did see it though. 

Ashu: Musku, kyu bechariyo ko tease kar rahi hai? ( Musku, why are you teasing them?)

M: Tum inki side lena bandh karo. Waise koyi meri bahut tareef kar raha tha. ( You stop taking their side. Btw someone was praising me a lot.)

Ashu: Kaun? ( Who?)

He asked confused. 

M: Gadhe, mai teri baat kar rahi hu, phone par. ( Idiot, I am talking about you, on phone.)

He then remembered what he had said and rolled his eyes. 

Abhi: Maine bhi suni thi tareef toh. ( Even I heard it.)

Varnika: Kya tareef? ( What praise?)

Abhinav played its recording. Nikki glared at Ashu while Muskaan and Ashu glared at Abhinav. 

Varnika: Ho ho, bahut romantic nikle tum toh. ( Ho ho, you both are very romantic.)

Nikki smiled, making Ashu scared, more than her glare. Muskan and Ashu looked at each other and gulped. 

Nikki: Ashu, mujhe kuch kaam tha. ( Ashu, I had some work.)

M: Kya kaam hai? ( What work do you have?)

Varnika: Jal kyu rahi hai, behen hai teri, cheen nahi legi tere pati ko tujhse. ( Why are you getting jealous, she is your sister, won't snatch your husband.)

Ashu: Ha chal. ( Yes come.)

He said seeing the look Nikki gave him. They went to the room and as soon as he closed the door, he was banged against it by Nikki, who held his collar, glaring at him. 

Ashu: Nikki, kya kar rahi hai? ( Nikki, what are you doing?)

He asked while stuttering a bit. 

Nikki: Tu mujhse pyaaar karta hai na, phir tareef uski kyu? ( You love me right, then why were you praising her?) 

Ashu: Nikki, mai tujhse hi pyaar karta hu. Aur tu apni hi behen se kyu jal rahi hai? ( Nikki, I love you only. And why are you getting jealous of your own sister?)

Nikki: Kyunki badnaseebi meri, ki jisse mai pyaar karti hu, woh meri behen ka pati hai. ( Because of my fate, that the person I love, is my sister's husband.)

Ashu: Arre woh.. 

He told her why he said all that, and she left his collar, but he held her close. 

Ashu: Paas hi raho mere. ( Be near me only.)

He said burying his face in her neck. 

Nikki: Ashu, tum sab bata kyu nahi dete ho Muskaan ko? Jitna bhi galat sound karta ho, tum use cheat kar rahe ho. ( Ashu, why don't you tell everything to Muskaan? However wrong it sounds, you are cheating on her only right.)
