Aarohi Nigam (Chapter 25)

Jai was sitting next to Avu, when his mind went back to Aarohi. He knew he had seen her somewhere, but couldn't remember where. But he was sure he had seen her, not met her. He fell asleep sitting there only. Next morning Avu woke up and saw Jai asleep. She didn't wake him as she wasn't sure of when he slept. She was about to get up when she noticed Jai holding her hand. She laid there only, not moving. Her thoughts went to the pills doctor had said about and was confused. Who would give her pills? The only food she ate was prepared by Vaishu or her mother. She immediately forgot those thoughts when Jai woke up.

Jai: Ab thik hai tu? ( Are you fine now?)

Avu: Ha. 

She sat up straight.

Jai: Pakka na? ( Are you sure?)

Avu: Ha bhoot, pakka.

Jai: Acha thik hai, tu tayar hokar aaja, phir chalte hai. ( Ok, you get ready and come, then we'll go.)

Avu: Abhi nahi, thodi der baad chale? ( Not now, lets go after sometime?)

Jai: Thik hai.

Avu got ready and came.

Jai: Avu, naashta kar rahi hai? ( Avu, are you having breakfast?)

Avu: Jai, mere khaane mein pills thi na? ( Jai, the pills were in food right?)

Jai: Avu, isme nahi hai, aakar khaale. Bhook lag gayi hogi, maine khud banaya hai. ( There aren't any in these. You must be hungry, I have made it myself.)

They both had breakfast.

Avu: Aaj lag raha hai acha hua tu acha khana banata hai. ( Today I feel like thank god you know how to cook.)

Jai: Sirf tere liye banaya hai aaj tak, aur khudke liye, toh khush reh. ( I have cooked only for you till date, and myself, so be happy.)

Avu: Woh toh mai hu. ( That I am.)

Jai smiled. Avu noticed a small purse.

Avu: Yeh kiska hai? ( Whose is this?)

Jai looked at it. He took it and opened it, and found a card and some money. He took the card. The name on it was enough for him to understand everything, Aarohi Nigam. Now he remembered how he knew Aarohi, face palming mentally on how he didn't recognise earlier.

Jai: Yeh Aarohi ka hai, kal ek ladki aayi thi, address dhundte hue. Gir gaya hoga. ( This is Aarohi's, one girl had come yesterday, searching for an address. Must have fallen down.)

He took out his phone and called her.

Aaru: Hello.

Jai: Hello Aarohi, mai Jai, kal tu mujhse mili thi address dhundte hue. ( Hello Aarohi, I am Jai, you had met me yesterday while searching an address.)

Aaru: Ha, woh galat nikla address. ( Yes, that address turned out to be wrong.)

Jai: Address galat nahi tha, tu bahut late ho gayi, jise tu dhund rahi hai woh kahi aur shift ho gaya. ( Address wasn't wrong, you got very late, the one you are searching has shifted.)

Aaru: Tum bada jante ho mai kise dhund rahi hu. ( Like you know who I am searching.)

Jai: Mai janta hu, Nigams ko. ( I know, the Nigams.)

Aaru: Tum toh mujhe jaante bhi nahi ho phir kaise? Tum koyi creepy stalker ho? Pehle hi samajh jana chahiye tha jab ajeeb tarah se ghoor rahe the. ( You don't even know me then how? Are you some creepy stalker? Should have known when you were staring at me weirdly.)
