The Academy

Headmaster Marcus POV

Today is the annual Dragon Trials and the entire Academy is buzzing with excitement, this is a very fun day for the older pupils in The Academy as they get a break from their studies and training, and if I'm being honest us teachers quite like it as well.

Scar are the Eggs ready for tomorrow? I ask my dragon while walking to the arena.

Yes Marcus. I can even hear a few of them already, this is a very powerful bunch this year.

It is indeed Scar, I will see you at the arena.

After walking for a while I finally make it to the arena and walk up to the teacher booth, "Hello students!" My voice booms through the arena making everyone stop talking and pay attention, "Today is The Dragon Trials for our new pupils, and you all should get comfy, and get some food because we have a lot of people to test. So without further ado, let's begin!"

We watched as kids struggled to use their powers for the first time, we watched as a few even fainted before they even got to look at what they summoned, we even watched a few boys run away from whatever dragon they had to 'tame'.

But I wasn't paying much attention to them I was waiting for the two girls who most likely held more power in their pinkie than some have in their entire body. Then it comes to the end of the trials and Ivy King comes out with her head held high scanning her surroundings.

I start my speech when she looks up at me, "Ivy King your trials will be different and longer than the rest of the boys, but you will start with combat and weaponry, then onto your water element then after it will be earth before moving on to your dragon test. Do you understand?"

"Yes I understand." she replies.

We then start her weaponry test and let me tell you, she was probably better than more than half of my Academy and it was the same for her combat test as well, I started thinking and decided I would make Sages test more challenging, a lot more challenging.

"We are going to start your water test."

She nods before preparing herself, before the door opens revealing a Fiadh Uisge, after a few minutes she defeats the deer seemingly easily.

"You will now move onto your earth test." I say with a hint of interest in my voice. I wait until she is ready before motioning for the doors to open, and it reveals a Monstrum luscus, and again she defeats it within a few minutes.
