Misery

"You're pathetic." she laughed.
I wasn't sure what to say. I just stood there, frozen, terrified, and alone. Finally, I found my voice.
"WHO ARE YOU?"
"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?"
"Oh, you half bloods can be so pitiful sometimes."
She laughed as if my pain amused her, and I guess it did.
"I am Oizys, the goddess of misery. I am the daughter of Nyx, the goddess of night.you fool, I am the origin of all misery." her voice boomed off of the walls.
Suddenly something clicked. I remembered reading about her once for a paper. Her father was this guy named Erebus, who lived in the darker parts of the underworld. She also had a twin sister. Mary...morline....Momus. Twin of Momus, the god of blame.
Oh, and her mom was Nyx, the goddess of night. Any who, that's my mythology lesson.

"You pathetic demigod."
She laughed and came closer. My head was swimming. The closer she came, the more miserable I felt.
Picters flew in my head. My brother unmoving on the floor, my sister next to him peppered in bruises, my mom crying above them.
And me, helpless to save them.
"You'll never save them." she smirked.
"Leave me alone." I managed to say evenly, my head still in my hands.
"They'll die, and you won't be able to do anything about it." she taunted.
My head lifted to look at her. That was when I realised how miserable she looked. She had black hair flowing around her face, pale, sick skin. Her long, pointed nose inches from mine. Her eyes were dark and sad. There was mascara running down her face, it looked like she did her eye makeup then watched titanic. It also seemed like she hadn't eaten for days.
"What happened to you?" I questioned.
She stood up strait, in shock of the question.
"Life, you idiot."
She seemed to have tears fall from her eyes every few seconds.
"You know I didn't chose this job." she stated.
"I didn't WANT TO BE THIS WAY, MISERABLE....PATHETIC."
She was crying more now.
"But NOOOO, NOBODY LISTENED."
I began slowly standing, leaning against the wall for support. my head was pounding. No matter what I did I felt like I was going to blackout any second. I could barely hear Oizys rambling about her misery. I was helplessly trying to think straight, to find a way out. I had no weapon, no advantage, no nothing.
"I TRIED TO TELL THEM, I TRIED TO MAKE THEM CHANGE THEIR MINDS."
As she continued her rant, my eyes search for a weapon or something to help me. that's when I saw something. A sword, old yes, rusty yes, but a sword. The only problem was it was right behind oizys. She began to laugh and that is was brought me back.
"You demigods, I will never get over how pathetic you can be sometimes."
"Well, it comes naturally." I spat, I was really getting tiered of her rant. Just as I was preparing to dive for the sword, Oizys screamed.
Gold blood poured from her injured arm.
"YOU FOOL."
(I made a mental note to myself, if I ever want to become evil call everyone fool.)
I saw a figure then jump in front of me as if trying to protect me.
"Says the goddess who let me sneak up on you." he replied. That's when I realized, it was percy.

"This is why I hate demigods." Oizys spat.
"Always ruining everything, always being cocky."
She then proceeded to speak of how much she hates demigods. That's when I saw my chance to finally get the sword. She had begun to pace a short distance from it now, so I jumped.
The sword was in my hands. I turned and was face to face with her.
"And this you demigods always point swords at us." she said.
"I AM SICK OF IT."
she screamed, and in a split second she was at my side with a dagger in her hands. I didn't have time to react, the blade pierced my side and I screamed in agony.
"You are worthless." she whispered just as I fell to the floor.
"It's still a real pity knowing that you'll never see your family again."
My side burned, there was
Blood filling the water around me. I felt like I was going to slip into unconsciousness any second. Yet, within a few seconds I felt fine. It was the water again.
She was now inches from my face as I looked up to see a look of fake pity.
"I WILL find them." I declared my voice full of determination.
"Yeah, and I'm the queen of England." she laughed.
"Well, this has been fun but I really must go. Percy darling, you really must work on your sneak attacks."
She declared just before she vanished in a flow of darkness.

It was just me and Percy.
"Can you believe her?" Percy asked.
"My sneak attacks do not need work." he declared as he snapped his fingers.
I giggled, then winced. My side was still gushing blood.
"I want a nap." I whined.
"You need ambrosia." he stated.
"Can't I go a day without being stabbed?"
"Tell me 'bout it."
He chuckled as he helped me to my feet. A sharp pain shot through my side and I screamed.
"Why isn't the water helping?" He questioned, there was a hint of worry in his voice.
"I don't know, but tell me when you figure it out, I'm really tiered of going unconscious." Then I slipped into unconsciousness.
