Episode 4: Sneak 100

Friday night~
Team LYNT dorm room~

Y/N is preparing to leave, double-checking every single piece of his equipment before he reaches for the doorknob. He's stopped by a voice he thought to be asleep.

Terra: "Y/N? Where ya goin?"

Terra was groggy but she knew Y/N's shape pretty well.

Y/N: "Just some late-night training, nothing illegal"

Y/N glared at Terra under the cover of night, her not noticing that she was annoying the teen.

Terra: "Well, don't go too hard. We're going to Vale in the morning"

Terra informed, barely seeing Y/N nod.

Y/N: "Right"

Y/N opened the door, quietly closing it and walking towards the stairs.

Emanuel: "Y/N"

The aforementioned teen froze up, looking behind him to see the bird glaring at him.

Y/N: "Y-yeah?"

Emanuel's orange eyes bore into Y/N's (insert colour here), making the human teen sweat nervously.

Emanuel: "Where are you going? I can't possibly fathom what late-night training requires you to be in full combat gear"

Y/N: "Grimm killing in Emerald forest. Need to restock on Hummingbird shots"

Y/N gestured to Aether before turning around again, not getting far before Emanuel says his name again.

Emanuel: "Y/N, you did that this morning"

Y/N: "Did I? I can't remember"

Emanuel takes a few steps towards Y/N who immediately turns and runs.

56 minutes later~

After losing Emanuel and making his way to Ozpin's Office Y/N is briefed on his mission.

Ozpin: "Do you understand?"

Y/N rolls his eyes as he sits in front of Headmaster Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch, having fallen asleep 7 times during the briefing.

Y/N: "Don't prioritise recon over murder, I know. You want me to go out hitting known White Fang hideouts and killing as many as possible, gathering little info along the way. We just went over it Oz yet I still don't understand why I can't gather information"

Y/N rolled his eyes, standing up and walking towards the door.

Ozpin: "I already have a guy on reconnaissance, don't worry"

Y/N: "Don't care"

Later~

Y/N is crouching on top of a light pole spider-man style, glaring at a warehouse.

Y/N: 'Tch... Lumine isn't good for group combat. Guess I gotta rely on hand to hand and Aether'

Jumping into action, Y/N crashes through the glass on the ceiling, quick-drawing Aether and taking out 13 before he landed on his 14th kill, breaking their neck on impact. Before more of them could identify the threat Y/N had already taken out 5 more, dodging a slash from the sword of a female white fang grunt and quickly spinning around and hitting her so hard he broke her neck. Using her body as a meat shield he jumps up to the rafters and uses the short sword the girl used against the grunts up there.

Y/N: 'I think I can let myself go a little crazy, not like anyone I know is here to see me do what I'm about to'

Y/N contemplated, a grin slowly growing larger on his face. He quickly cut off the heads of all 7 grunts up on the rafters before jumping down, once again using a dead body as a meat shield for bullets, using the stolen short sword to slash and stab his way through the warehouse.
