Vol. 3 Episode 4: New Challenges

Every single member of Team VNTY are in their beds, most in too much pain to get up after their fight with Team KRTT.

"I think that Ren guy was an actual nut case," Veylan says.

"Kate's semblance was annoying to deal with, but when Nero shot her right as she was about to kick me off the stage, it was like something out of a movie," Tyler recalls with a smile.

"All three of my fights were relatively easy, I'm just tired from using so many abilities in quick succession," Not says.

"Ted and Theo were completely different fights. Ted was like an animal, a really powerful animal that could disintegrate me if it touched me. Theo was a lot more civil, but harder to fight because of his armor. Seeing that attack he threw at the end, I knew he was holding back the whole fight if something like that was so easily created," Y/N rationalized as he stared at the ceiling.

"I'm not even going to lie, if any of those three guys were at their best, you would've lost immediately," says Not.

"Did anyone else notice how Ren and Ted had really similar Semblances, even for twins?" Veylan asks.

There was a chorus of "yeah"s from the other three boys.

"So... anyone wanna go watch the fights going on today?" Not asked before several pillows were thrown at him. "Alright, I get it."

Later~

Not had managed to convince Y/N to go with him to the courtyard.

"Tell me again, Nautilus Theodore Arthur, why am I out here?" Y/N asks, using Akatsuki as a walking stick.

"I gotta tell you something," Not began.

"What?"

"You're gonna die soon, forever," Not's tone was grim.

"What...?" Y/N stopped in his tracks.

Not stopped too, looking back.

"Yeah I kinda planned on your story not being that long, but you are supposed to kill seven of the eight," Not tried to brighten the mood but you were absolutely thunderstruck.

"I-I die soon? How soon? How does it happen? Do I go in pain? Do I die fighting?" Y/N rattled off questions before Not held up his hand.

"I don't know. I only decided when you die and I'm not telling you that," Not lied.

"This-this isn't one of your morbid jokes, is it? Cuz-cuz-cuz I cannot take the knowledge of me dying from someone who previously knew everything about anything lightly," Y/N stuttered out.

"Don't worry that much about it, your family will be avenged, you have my word," Not promised.

"That's not what I'm worried about!" Y/N shouted. "I'm worried about how I can die!"

Later~

After JNPR's fight with Team BRNZ(Bronze), VNTY is being dragged along by both RWBY and JNPR. The three teams explore the festival fairgrounds just outside the coliseum.

"How, exactly, did we get dragged out of our dorm room by Suicide Squad(2016) and Captain Marvel?" asks Veylan.

"How in the...?" Not asks with a confused look.

"When that dragon attack hit me, it kinda gave me some of that Ren guy's memories. He's kinda crazy," Veylan says nonchalantly.

"Huh, that is really odd," Not shrugs.

"What are you guys talking about?" Ruby asks, getting the attention of the other team as well.

"Just... movies," Veylan answers.
