Chapter 11 - Summer (June & July) Cont

Y/N sat at the edge of his bed looking at the boxes of clothing and the pile of cards but the one that caught his attention was the framed photo of him and Zoe, he never really thought about how much she affected his life since the death of his own mom. Zoe was a wonderful mother figure for Y/N almost like his own mother but she lacked one thing that would've made her a mother and that was fertility.

- Flashback Start -

Y/N and Zoe are eating at the dinner table enjoying the FD she prepared for them.

Y/N: "Hey Mom?"

Zoe: "Yes dear?"

Y/N: "How come I don't have any siblings?"

Zoe: "What do you mean?"

Y/N: "Like a brother or a sister."

Zoe looks down at her plate before looking up back to Y/N.

Zoe: "Well the reason is I... I can't have children."

Y/N: "Why?"

Zoe: "That's a topic for another time Y/N."

Y/N looks at Zoe for a moment and continues to eat his dinner.

- Flashback End -

- In Another Reality -

Y/N: "I guess I was the closets thing to a son she had even if I was almost a adult."

Mom: "That is true Y/N."

Y/N: "Who said that?!"

Mom: "Y/N it's me your mother."

Y/Ns Mother opens the door and sits next to him on his bed.

Y/N: "Mom? What are you doing here? Oh god did I almost die again?!"

Mom: "No Y/N your asleep, after you sat on your bed you fell asleep ."

Y/N: "So I'm asleep and now I'm in Heaven again?"

Mom: "Yep."

Y/N: "Well I guess that makes sense, so what did you want to see me for?"

Mom: "I'm here to see you."

Y/N: "So you want to catch up?"

Mom: "More or less I've seen the new friends you've made, Roy and Elza."

Y/N: "Yea that's thanks to Pyma they are a great pair."

Mom: "They are indeed, they've both suffered a great deal before they changed and met each other without each other they would've met grim fates."

Y/N: "What does that mean?"

Mom: "You'll know in time dear."

Y/N: "Hey Mom?"

Mom: "Yes hun?"

Y/N: "What do you think of Zoe? Her raising me and all."

His mother looks at the framed picture of them for a few minutes before she looks back to Y/N.

Mom: "Zoe is a wonderful woman despite her ability to not have children of her own and her raising you when I couldn't makes me happy, you see without her you'd be who knows where or here with me and your family but she found you and took you in I have to admit when I saw it I cried I feared that she was going to use you but she didn't, she took care of you just like I would and for that I'm grateful."

Y/N: "I wish Zoe was here to hear this, she'd likely be in tears."

Mom: "Well why don't we?"

Y/N: "Wait Mom your not serious are you?"
