"No! I swear Cookies 'n Cream is the best!" I argued.

"But what about the Pistachio almond one?" Sophie argued back.

"Just get the one you want and pay because we're causing a scene," I said frantically, looking around at all the people staring at us.

I quickly ordered cookies and cream while Sophie ordered pistachio almond. When we finally payed and sat down at a table, I wrinkled my nose at her decision. Sophie and I had decided to go out and get some ice cream while she was staying here and just talk.

"That's disgusting," I stated, nodding my head at her horrible choice in ice cream.

"No it's not! It tastes delicious," Sophie stated, taking a huge bite.

I simply laughed and continued to eat my ice cream. "How's college?" I questioned, "Are you having fun partying?" Sophie frowned at me because we both knew Sophie was not a fan of parties.

"College is just like high school, but instead of a prison for kids, it's a prison for adults," Sophie grumbled, rolling her eyes and making me laugh.
"What about you? Are you excited for your senior year of high school?"

I gave her a look and answered, "Oh yeah! Super excited! Because going to a place where they force knowledge down your throat and don't give a crap about you is so much fun."

Sophie giggled took another bite while asking, "So, any boys in your life lately?"

"No," I dead panned, then thought again and answered,"well I overheard Melanie talking about a new boy coming to Pine Hill and something about how he would be able to do hard work."

"So are you looking forward to meeting him?" Sophie questioned wiggling her eyebrows.

"I don't know honestly, I mean I guess I am, but I'm worried about his character. And besides, what's going to happen? We're going to magically fall in love, get married, and ride our magical unicorns into the sunset? I think not," I snorted, adjusting my navy blue Frankfort High t-shirt and pulling down my black shorts.

"Well I would just go with it, and if he's a total jerk to you, dump his butt in the trash pile," Sophie replied, so bluntly in fact that I began to choke on my ice cream from laughing too hard.

Sophie started laughing hard too, which gained stares from everyone one in Baskin Robbins.

"We're idiots," I laughed.

"Yeah, but we're fun idiots," Sophie pointed out. I shook my head and continued laughing like a maniac.

As soon as Sophie and I arrived home, I sprinted upstairs. We had lost track of time at Baskin Robbins, and I had planned on taking care of Caspian before my mom's birthday dinner.
I quickly ripped off my black jean shorts and struggled to pull my breeches on. I had one leg through the breeches when I tried to walk over to my closet. Being the clumsy person I am, I took about two steps before I face planted onto my carpeted floor. I mumbled a few words that mommy would not be proud of and pulled my other leg through the pants. I then shoved my feet through a pair of striped socks and slid my feet into a pair of Nike pro sandals. I sprinted downstairs, grabbed my riding boots and bag, and began looking for my keys. After almost tearing my house apart looking for my keys, I finally found them under my couch.

"Ah ha! I finally found you!" I shouted, probably looking like a crazed hamster that just found it's carrot. I sprinted out of my house and practically flew into my truck.

As soon as I got out of my car, I grabbed my stuff and sprinted towards the stables. No one should be here on a Wednesday evening, it's 6:30 and everyone should be eating dinner. Nope. I was wrong. As soon as I turned the corner, I ran into something hard. The impact sent me flying to the ground along with all my stuff scattering around me.
