"Beep Beep Beep Beep!" My alarm clock screamed. I groaned as I slammed my fist as hard as I could on the annoying machine.

"Stupid piece of crap always waking me up too early in the morning..." I mumbled, already waking up in a bad mood. And to top it off, I had to deal the new boy coming today. Just great.

I groaned again and looked over at the clock and seeing it was 9:45. Still too early. Time shouldn't exist before 10:00.

I pulled myself into a sitting position and yawned. I looked over to my left and found that Medusa had slept on the side of my queen sized bed all night. I smiled and tried to pet her. She was obviously not a morning person either, because as soon as I put my hand on her, causing her to wake up, she sank her teeth into my hand. I yelped and pulled my hand away.

"You stupid cat! I was just trying to pet you! Ungrateful excuse of a cat!" I shouted, instantly regretting it since I could have possibly woken my family up. Then I remembered that my whole family were morning people and I was the only one who could sleep past 11:00.

I reluctantly stood up from my warm bed and made my way towards my closet. I grabbed a pair of black breeches and a gray Nirvana shirt and trudged towards my bathroom. I started brushing my teeth as I waited for the shower water to heat up.

After my shower, I blow dried my hair and then walked over to my vanity. I sat down and applied concealer to my dark circles that seemed to be extra active today. I then looked at the rats nest that I call my hair. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was a family of birds nesting in there. I picked up my brush and began tugging it through my hair. Once it had been throughly brushed out, I pulled it into a loose side braid. I got up from my vanity chair and pulled on a pair of purple socks. I walked out of my room, pausing to get my iPhone, and stumbled down the stairs.

"Good morning Mia," Sophie greeted rather too sweetly.

"Good morning?" I asked, confused by her too sweet voice.

"Anything important happening today?" She asked slyly, obviously referring to the new boy.

I shot her a look that said,'shut up right now or I'll murder you in your sleep,' and replied as calmly as I could,"not really, anything important happening with you?"

"No, nothing at all."

"Is there something I'm missing here?" My brother asked, pouring some cereal into a bowl.

"No," I answered too quickly. My brother could see through my lies as easily as I could see through glass.

He shot me a suspicious look and glanced at Sophie, looking for an explanation.

Sophie simply looked back down at her cereal and took another bite. I let out the breath I was holding in and grabbed two slices of bread out of the bread box. I popped the bread into the toaster and watched as Alex shot us both confused and suspicious looks.

"I will never understand girls."

Sophia and I both started laughing hysterically and Alex even cracked a smile.

When I hopped out of my truck and starting walking towards the stables, I felt thousands of butterflies start flying around in my stomach. It's just a boy Mia, not Leonardo DiCaprio. I had a minor crush on the oscar-less actor. I don't think he's ever going to win an Oscar. Don't get me wrong, he's an amazing actor, but there's so much of a joke going around about how he doesn't have an Oscar, so it's evident that they wouldn't ever give him one.
