Author's note: This chapter contains spoilers for GI's 2.1 archon quest. Kokomi's character timeline might also differ, since part of my objective in writing this story (apart from Kokosara goodness) was to give both Sara and Kokomi a commanders' arc within the broader story.

Sara slept dreamlessly. It was the best sleep she'd had had in a long time. Her body was so gloriously exhausted, but also refreshed by Kokomi's touch, that it couldn't help but sleep like a baby.
Her bare room initially had no furniture at all, but when she finally recovered from the priestess's fingering and spanking (for many long minutes Sara had lain on the floor, trembling in her own mess), the Tenryou Commission leader fuzzily stumbled round to the back of her hut, her nominal prison. Before she left, Kokomi had said that there was a wooden bathing tub awaiting her. Beside the small, circular tub were a straw mat and a soft blanket, which had been rolled up and placed near her wall, waiting for her to take them inside. No doubt someone had placed them there at Kokomi's orders.
Drenched in the moonlight, Sara had enjoyed a long, soothing soak in the comfortably hot water, hugging herself as she stared down at her naked, fit body. She'd never been touched like that before in her long, tengu life. She shifted her knees up as she let out a soft sigh and whimper to herself. She'd expected a tense and competitive duel of wits with Kokomi, but nothing like this. She never thought Kokomi would actually have any kind of sexual interest in her, let alone act on it so decisively and dramatically. And more importantly, she never expected herself to respond so strongly to Kokomi's advances – as if this was something she'd long desired, but just never had the chance to enjoy. It was as if Kokomi knew more about her than any of her own troops or her superiors, the Kujou patriarch or the Raiden Shogun.
After her bath, Sara went inside, rolled out her mattress, and slept peacefully until the ethereal lights of the island, refracted by the rising sun, pealed into her window. There was a knock on her door, and Sara cleared her throat, calling: "Who's there?"
"Good morning, commander Kujou," came Kokomi's cheerful voice. Sara seized up, heart racing. "I've brought breakfast for the two of us. May I join you?"
"Just... just wait. I need to get dressed." Sara had been so tired that she hadn't bothered putting anything on except her shorts before she went to bed. Now she was scrambling about, struggling into her undershirt, pulling back on her skirts, fastening her tengu ornaments and gauntlets, and taking the tengu mask that usually adorned the left of her head. She then opened the door to see Kokomi looking up at her with those ethereal, mesmeric eyes. Behind her was a robust looking man holding two trays stacked neatly on top of each other, both of which had a bowl of miso soup, a plate of freshly grilled fish, and a bowl of rice.
