Warning: Graphic violence

Kokomi and Sara might have been passionate lovers, attuned to each other's desires and fantasies, but they were at heart ruthless generals. And they were about to prove it.

The attack had been launched shortly after lunchtime. The Shogunate's forces struck mercilessly on Yashiori Island, hitting the Fatui encampment guarding the secret Delusion Factory with an onslaught of Sara's Subjugation: Koukou Sendou. Without warning, a mighty Tengu Juurai: Titanbreaker zig-zagged into the heart of the Fatui warriors, sending multiple soldiers into spastic convulsions as four Stormclusters radiated from the epicenter of the Titanbreaker. Chaos enveloped the Fatui ranks as Sara and the joint Shogunate-Resistance army exploded into a charge from their hiding place below a shallow ledge.

"Charge!"

Screams of battle filled the air

Screams of battle filled the air. A pair of Hydrogunner Legionnaires moved to block the advancing troops' way, but two Electro-charged arrows released from Sara's bow plunged cleanly into their chests, sending their groaning, portly bodies crashing to the ground. It was complete bedlam as the Shogunate and Resistance samurai formed ranks and began to push the Fatui back. The Fatui were superior warriors, but the Inazumans were more numerous, on home ground, and high on morale thanks to Kokomi's and Sara's peace treaty. A Fatui Pyroslinger Bracer dropped his rifle, blood spraying from his mouth as three Resistance soldiers thrust their spears into his body, screaming and ramming him against the cliffside. A Fatui Pyro Agent tried to somersault away from Herring I's pursuing men, but instead flopped to the ground, blood pouring from his punctured mask and skull, as Kujou Sara lowered her bow, nodding in satisfaction at her perfect headshot. She glared at Commander Teppei, who'd nearly been surprised by the enemy and slain (again).

"I almost wish you'd taken the Delusion," she called sarcastically. "But if I didn't tell Kokomi to order all Delusions seized on pain of dishonourable discharge, you wouldn't be fighting with us now."

Teppei scrambled up. "I'll never be able to repay you and Her Excellency for stopping me. I was immature and lost, and I protested Her Excellency's firm order. I was wrong. She was looking out for us," he cried, saluting her even in the midst of battle cries and clashing blades. "I was so tempted, and the Fatui preyed on my deepest wish to be a good soldier. But thanks to you, I think I can serve Her Excellency much better... alive."

Sara's eyes shone. "You're one of Kokomi's best. She wouldn't want to lose you. Neither do I."

She nodded, giving the signal for the Crowfeather Guard, her five-strong elite shock troops. "Leave the dirty work to me, Teppei. Katagiri! Ittoku! Yamazaki! Tomohiro! Keisuke!"

She raised her hand and clenched it into a fist.

"Storm the Delusion Factory and burn the entire compound to ashes! Leave none alive, except those that can be interrogated for more intelligence on Snezhnaya." Her tengu eyes glinted as she fired four arrows in quick succession, all of them finding their mark and sending a Geochanter Bracer and a Hydrogunner Legionnaire crumpling to the ground, their heads and torsos perforated. "This is the day we crush the Fatui presence in Inazuma forever! Kokomi's on the hunt for Nathan, and I promised I'd protect her. So don't let me down! Let's sweep this place and reinforce Kokomi quickly!"
