I drank from the chalice of love
And it tasted bittersweet
I felt the bitterness burn my veins
And the sourness explode in my heart
The sweetness tasted sour
And my tongue spat out stabbing words
I heard my soul complain with
My torn heart and my damaged mind
My heart cries tears of blood
And I sigh mists of belligerent breathes of depression
Countless colonies of rejection come
Marching as I take a sip
From the chalice that will forever poison my soul
And destroy my heart
For the chalice brings a smile to my face
And evoke feelings that I will forever capture
Even though my heart believes in reluctant love
My soul will forever hold the enchantment
Of the love I never received
