Bae Rona, a high-flying soprano and
South Korea's Youngest Prima Donna,
performed her signature aria Una
Voce Poco Fa with the Hera Opera
House Orchestra last night. She
received warm applause and a
standing ovation from the audience.
Bae Rona's talent and her kind heart,
which can be seen in her interview
with TVT News last night after her
successful performance, are both
inherited traits. "My mother, who lost
her life years ago, was a beautiful,
kind-hearted, and selfless person.
I looked up to her the most," Bae says.
"She was also a classically trained
vocal artist who studied at the
Cheong-A Arts High School. But
unfortunately, she didn't graduate
due to an unfortunate incident. Even
though I didn't always hear her sing
or play opera at home when she was
still alive, I know that also in her
younger years, she once had the same
dream I have, to be recognized by the
world as a great classical singer."
Ms. Bae mentioned in multiple
interviews that it was her mother,
Oh Yoon Hee, who made her become
a world-famous soprano. The late
Ms. Oh had also dreamt of becoming
a soprano herself.
Bae was born in South Korea on
April 8, 2004 and will be celebrating
her first year anniversary as a
soprano on October 24, 2026.
Bae Rona's First Anniversary Concert
will take place at 7 p.m. on October 24
at the Hera Opera House. Tickets are
ranging from $500 to $4000. For more
