--- WARNING: MATURED SCENES ----

I arranged my hood properly and started walking, holding my two pistol silencers.

I immediately shot the two who saw me. Perfect headshot. My presence was so dense that it was not easily recognized.

I started killing the men outside the warehouse. If someone dared to shoot, I shot him first, headshot.

Silence was all I heard... I directed a headshot so they wouldn't feel pain, like they were falling into their deepest slumber...

When I got inside, my eyes turned red; everything became blurry... I heard nothing... I was throwing my knives here and there, taking them again and throwing them.

Aiming my guns at any movement my eyes caught, I pulled the trigger.

Once I sensed a heartbeat, I stopped the beating. It seemed like every heartbeat in here irritated me, so I stopped it.

I don't feel anything... like I'm doing nothing. My body feels so light, so dense... I've been jumping and running, ducking and rolling.

Everything is blurry, and that includes my mind... it's empty.

I stopped. I looked around the house. Dead. Dead people were lying on the floor. I walked slowly in the hallway toward the door... Every person I passed by had no signs of life.

Blood was all over the floor. When I reached the door, I turned back and looked around. Fear crept through me, and I could feel myself heating up...

Who did this? Who the hell did this?! It's a monster! Dead people—dead men and women! Blood—bloodshed.

I looked at myself, and my eyes turned dark... My hands were full of blood, still holding a bloodied knife... my knife! Did I do this? Am I the monster?

My whole body shivered.

I am the monster! I closed my eyes and took deep breaths. I have to regain my composure. This is my world. This is my destiny. I can't take it back. I can't bring their lives back. I am a Tarre... and this is my life.

I opened my eyes once again.

I turned to the door and opened it as I walked toward the van where the men were waiting.

Uncle Dos walked up to me with amusement on his face. "Congra—" I didn't let him finish as I passed by him.

I got inside the van, but I couldn't forget the look on Carlo's face; it held sadness, shock, fear, and... concern?

On Sunday of that week, Carlo talked about what happened, but I ignored him. I just let him talk.

What I coped with were words like "You're so cool," "Will you teach me?" "You're so famous." Wait, what!? "What?" I faced him. We were on the couch watching a movie; I didn't even care.

"Finally, you talk!" He smiled.

"What famous?" I felt irritated by him.

"Your task yesterday! It's all over the underground; you're a no-name, so the rumor named you 'The Silencer'! Because you attacked the house alone without any noise. It was so silent! Do you even know that you fought so peacefully? Because you know what? I just heard of that, and I've seen that as well! Yesterday! That's so cool!" He beamed non-stop, raising his open arms. Tch. Kid.

"Do they know me?" I turned my head back to the TV. I sensed him shaking his head.

"Well, they only knew that it was the only child of the king and queen of the underground. They don't know your name, your gender, or your facial features. That's why they named you 'The Silencer.'" He laughed when he emphasized the "The Silencer" part.

After that mission, Mom never let me go out again. There was no shopping or eating in restaurants anymore. We just stayed at the mansion or went out to our private places with only Mom, Carlo, and the bodyguards. Dad never came with us.

My family is the richest here in the U.S.; my dad owns the Tarre Industry, and he owns most of the shares in other big companies.

Days went by so fast, and I can't even recognize the date or the year. I didn't even realize that years had passed after I attacked the warehouse and killed people.

Uncle Dos is still training me, but as the years passed, it's getting more intense.

The last time, I was imprisoned in a cell with little food that could sustain me for only three days. My task was to push a thick wall until a hole appeared.

The wall was too heavy, weighing a thousand pounds. But I survived after four days; I got out by pushing the wall until it moved two meters and I saw the hole.

Every Friday, I was on a mission. My outfit changed; Dad brought me a black hooded cape and a black mask. It also had inner outfits, which were black fitted shirts and fitted jeans, but they were so flexible.

I was sometimes a sniper. Well, the first time I got myself on a rooftop, I discovered I loved high places—the highest places, to be exact.

Sometimes, I attacked a house, a mansion, a rest house, or a warehouse alone, like what I did the first time.

Sometimes, I was a spy, which unexpectedly, I was good at. I could read people's thoughts, actions, and faces.

I never failed any of it... to make my father satisfied.

Things became hard, but I couldn't feel anything anymore.

My heartbeat has stopped many times, but I'm still alive.

I looked at myself in the mirror to see the same girl as always: blank, wounded, and icy cold, but her eyes were getting darker—even I couldn't recognize my own.

My body didn't even care about the bullets it caught. It just surrendered if it lost too much blood.

He is successful in making me numb... because I'm already numb...

My soul is nowhere in my body, and I have a part of me that wants to find it. Maybe that's one of the reasons I keep myself obeying the devil.

But still, the biggest reason is to protect my mom, to protect the person who loves me the most. That's why my heart is still beating at this very moment. For my mom and my freedom. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, but suddenly, a picture of the boy in the alley I met years ago popped into my head. What the heck was that?

I ignored the thought as I opened my eyes... Just then, I saw blood. Dead people and... a monster.
