On the way, some students were roaming around; most of them were still in their classes. They gave me glances for a moment and then went back to their business. These incidents were normal, as it happened every day to see a bruised person.

"Next time, please fight, or at least try to dodge, or just go away! You'll get yourself killed by that bitch!" Drena had been yelling at me all the way, her tears constantly flowing down her cheeks. She had been lecturing me on what to do, but I wasn’t really listening.

We were on our way to the clinic, but when I sensed that no students were around, I slipped out of Drena's hold. I took my arms from around her shoulder and walked straight to our room.

"Hey! Where are you going?" she asked, following me, her face showing confusion as she wiped her tears with the back of her hands.

"To the room," I plainly answered.

"But you're wounded! Don't you even feel it!?" she yelled angrily, wanting me to go into the clinic. My medicines were much more effective than theirs.

"I don't," I told her the truth. There was no reason for me to lie to her. And I hated lying; it was different from hiding. Isn’t it?

"What!? Are you serious!?" She looked at my face to see me wearing a serious expression.

"You're serious," she said quietly, more to herself. "You need to explain once we get to the room; I can't ignore it anymore!" She was clearly frustrated.

I knew she had already sensed something about me, which was why I had stopped pretending to her. But I wouldn't stop hiding—at least not yet.

As we reached our room, I went in front of the mirror to see a bruise near the side of my lips. It looked small—just an inch—probably caused by her ring that made me bleed. I didn't see any scars; my body was immune to them. Weak hits like that couldn’t cause bruises or scars on me. There were no marks from her except for this thin line near my lips.

Drena also looked closely at my face, searching for something. She let out a small gasp. "How come you don't have bruises on your face?" She looked so surprised.

"Her punches are weak." It was true; I had received so many punches, and hers didn't even reach half of what I had endured from Uncle Dos and Carlo.

She let out an "O" face and said, "You're kidding me, right!? You're talking about the strongest girl in this academy! Her punches can kill! And by the looks of the punches she gave you, you might be dead after just three of them!" She looked at me up and down. "I won a judo competition, but I can't even compete with her! And looking at you, it seems like nothing happened!" She snapped at me.

"'Coz nothing happened." I simply stated as I took a bottle of cream from my closet and applied some to the wound near my lips. I decided to lay down on my bed and closed my eyes.

"Don't leave me hanging! I'm talking to you! Can you please talk to me properly? Who are you?" I felt her close her eyes and take deep breaths to calm herself.

I opened my eyes to see her staring at me intensely. "Just ignore me and mind your own business," I stated blankly. I didn't want to hear anything anymore...

"Tell me I heard it wrong." She seemed a bit sad as she sat down on her bed, still facing me.

"Just exactly what you heard," I said lowly.

"You are my friend, Claire, and I can't ignore anything. It is making me crazy! Especially when I saw Daniela hurting you; it hurt me as well. You are my friend, and I hope that I am also a friend to you." She said, almost in tears.

She had just met me yesterday, yet she acted like we had known each other for years. Friend.

"Exactly," I said blankly, sitting up and looking into her eyes. "You're my friend," I stood up facing her. "But you are dead the moment you find out who I am," I said lowly to her.

I saw her face show fear for a mere second as she stumbled back. Suddenly, it changed to understanding. She sighed and nodded at me.

I turned my back and started walking towards the door. "I won't hurt the two of you," I stated lowly, telling the truth. "I'm your friend, right?" I asked, not facing her. I sensed her nod.

"Yes," she said, determination in her voice.

"Can I ask you a favor?" I simply asked.

"I don't know who you are, but the first time I saw you, I felt so warm. From that moment, I made you my friend... and trusted you..." Her voice held seriousness. "So, yeah."

When I reached the doorknob, I faced her. She was staring down at the floor, her hands clasped together.

"Don't ask questions about me; set aside your curiosity. And don’t tell Cassy what happened." She looked at me quickly with curiosity.

"I can do the first favor, but not the second one. Cassy is our friend; she deserves to know what Daniela did to you!" Her voice rose.

"And cry as you did?" There. It struck her. She tried to open her mouth to respond but closed it, not knowing what to say. She lowered her head and nodded.

"But promise me, don't let Daniela hurt you again like that. Try dodging her; I know you can." She bargained, looking at me.

I put my head down and shook it. "I need it." Shock was evident on her face.

"I'm going out to get some fresh air." I opened the door and walked out.

Drena was a smart girl, but she didn't have any friends except Cassy. That was why I was sure she would tell no one about what she saw and felt.

One reason I chose her to be my roommate was that she kept her word; what she stated was considered done. That was what she learned from her father.

Cassy, on the other hand, was very sensitive. She didn't want anyone close to her to get hurt, even with her flirtatious act; she had the softest heart. Her own history told me that.

Told you, I didn’t expect myself to be this good in psychology, but I had been a spy, and I had never failed a mission.

I think I need three days to take a break from school. She needed to wake up. So, I decided to go out of the campus still in my PE uniform.
