Study Buddies - C.BG x S.RJ

"For this term's assessment, your task is to make a slideshow about blah blah blah," Ryujin's science teacher stood in front of the board explaining about their project for this term while Ryujin doodling on her book, stealing glances at the clock that is stuck on the wall above her but still patiently listening to her teacher.

"And you need to be in pairs," the students starts to jumped out from their seats to find their partners as well as Ryujin who was about to turn around and ask her best friend,  Chaeryeong when her teacher spoke, "Which I will choose this time,".

All of them groaned including Ryujin who went back to look at the front, seeing her teacher flipping through her notebook where she wrote all fo the students names and their partners. She started to call them one by one.

"Lee Chaeryeong and Kim Minju".

"Zhong Chenle and Jo Yuri"

Ryujin is anxiously gripping on her pen waiting for her and her partner's name to be called out.

Come on come on please be someone I'm close with, Ryujin prayed from her heart. She doesn't mind working with anyone but at the same time working with someone she barely talked to is just awkward though she's been in this class for almost a year now.

"Lastly, Shin Ryujin and Choi Beomgyu," Ryujin widen her eyes as the teacher closed her book at the same time the bell rang. "Alright class, I'll see you next week. Hope you all had a good day," the teacher went out of the classroom followed by other students that are heading to the school's cafeteria. 

Not Choi Beomgyu. She huffed a long breath before getting up to the cafeteria with Chaeryeong but the girl is nowhere to be seen. Suddenly she heard her phone dinged, meaning that a message just sent to her.

Hey, sorry I can't join you for lunch today... 

Minju and I need to talk for the project.

Sorry. But I'll see u later. 

Ryujin sighs as she put her phone in her pocket. Guess she needs to eat alone for today. 

Ryujin walks out of her classroom and went to the cafeteria. Until she felt a hand on her shoulder, she knew well whose arm belongs to. 

"Yo! Ryujin!" that person said. 

"What do you want Beomgyu?" she turned around making the person's arm fell from her shoulders. 

"We're buddies, remember?" she rolled her eyes remembering about what her teacher said. 

Choi Beomgyu. Ryujin's classmate and the most annoying person Ryujin encountered. Their relationship are... um... how can I say this. Complicated. Beomgyu really want to get close to Ryujin but the girl wants their relationship to be just classmate. Or possibly just acquaintances. 

He would get in her nerves every time. She was living in peace for this past few days since Beomgyu went with his family for some business trip. But looks like the boy is back, annoying Ryujin like what he always do. 

"How do you know? You were not in class," she asks. 

The both of them are still walking to the cafeteria with some students looking at them and whispering. They never actually walked together that much. Only when Beomgyu tried to annoy Ryujin whenever he's around. Like right now.
