Yanfei pov:

"Hmm she sure is taking her sweet time..maybe I could look for a gift for her or something?" As I was walking through the store sometimes caught my eye. It was a rather beautiful hair clip. It had red plum blossoms on it just like on Hu Taos hat. I grabbed it in my hand inspecting it like I was some sort of jewellery professional. "Hmm I wonder if she'll like it?"

Suddenly I felt someone poke my shoulder. I turn around to see Hu Tao. Immediately putting the hair clip behind my back. "Hey sorry if I took too long!" She smiled. "No no! It's ok!" I blurted out nervously. "Hm? You ok?"
"Yeah yeah! I just need to put something back and then we can go! Wait for me outside!" I rather quickly went to the cashier. I didn't even care how much it was I just swiped my card and rushed to put it in my pocket.

"Agh sorry to keep you waiting!" I said, as the adrenaline started to Fade away. "No no it's ok don't worry!" Hu Tao smiled and we continued shopping.

Hu Tao POV:
We where done shopping and where heading home. Yanfei picked out a beautiful outfit to wear to the event. She picked out a pastel pink corset, a checkered black and pink skirt and some fishnets. I had never seen her in a corset, she looked so pretty it was like a dream.

We where walking through the park like we where before except it was now dark and the beautifully hanged lights where shining. "Its the perfect moment." I thought.

"Hey YanYan." I stopped grabbing her hand. She turned to face me. "What's wrong?" She grabbed my other hand looking into my eyes as if she knew what was about to happen. "I-I wanted to ask you something.." I dropped my head to the ground trying to hide my blushing face. "Wha-" Her phone rings. "Fuckin hell, I'm going to kill whoever ruined our moment." I thought to myself.

"Let's continue walking we might not make it through the school gates if we're too late." She was still holding my hand.

I look over to see who she was texting and it was diluc. That guy who has been rude to her from the start. He was asking her to be her date. I was shocked to see her typing "yeah sure" I couldn't see the rest but I didn't need to.

I was trying to hold back my tears but I just could not. I let go of her hand and looked away as a tear rolled down my face. Yanfei sent the text message and turned to me. "So what did you want to tell me?" She spoke with a warm tone. I could feel her trying grab for my hand. So I put it in my pocket. "Why was she so happy..dose she really like diluc?" I thought to myself. "TaoTao?" She said now in a worried tone. She stood right in front of me making me stop and cupped my cheeks making me look up at her. "TaoTao? Are you crying? What's wrong?" She looked at me with genuine concern. "Yanfei, do you like dil-"
"No, no I do not." I couldn't evened finish the sentence. "But I saw you saying yes to him asking you to be his date." She wiped the tear off my face. She removed her hands from my face and took out her phone.

I sigh in relief. Yanfei puts her phone in her pocket. "You scared me you know. But can I ask, Then who is your date?" I said looking away from her. "They are standing right in front of me." She chuckled taking both my hands. "Well unless you don't wa-" I cupped her face leaning closer to her, our lips only centimetres apart. "Oh shut up you idiot." I whispered putting my lips on hers. It only hit me a second later what I had done, but then she put her hands around my waist and kissed me back. Her lips where softer then I remember. It felt nice. I had this relieved feeling in my chest. I pulled back from the kiss. I placed my hands on her hips and put our foreheads together. "We finally share something special." I said. "Yes, yes we do."

If I see even 1 "Awww such close best friends 🥰🥰" comment im making this into a smut and then we'll see if their best friends while Hu Tao is calling Yanfei mommy 🙄
