Four weeks later, Jacob suddenly shot upright in his bed, gasping for air as he looked around the room. His eyes widened when he realized he was surrounded by everyone, all of them staring at him with relieved expressions.

Jacob: What the hell is going on?

Caroline stepped closer to the bed.

Caroline: You don't remember?

Jacob looked at her in confusion.

Jacob: Remember what?

Damon gave him a sympathetic look.

Damon: You, my dear friend, were knocked into a coma thanks to Silas.

Jacob frowned.

Jacob: Why would he do that?

Damon: Because you're an Original. Your siblings left town, and you were the only Mikaelson here. Silas needed to get you out of the way so you couldn't interfere with his plans.

Jacob's expression immediately hardened.

Jacob: I'm going to kill him. Where is he?

Elena exchanged a glance with Stefan before answering.

Elena: It's too late now. He's already dead. After we got rid of him, we started looking for a way to save you.

Jacob looked around the room, his expression softening.

Jacob: Thanks, guys.

Stefan smiled.

Stefan: It's okay. To be honest, someone motivated us to move a little faster.

Jacob looked confused.

Jacob: What are you talking about?

Stefan stepped aside.

Jacob slowly turned his head and froze when he saw Hayley standing near the doorway.

Jacob: Hayley?

Hayley smiled softly, her eyes filled with relief.

Hayley: Welcome back, Jacob.

Jacob stared at her, still trying to process everything.

Jacob: You stayed?

Hayley nodded.

Hayley: Of course I stayed. I wasn't going to leave while you were fighting for your life.

Jacob looked down for a moment, clearly touched by her words.

Jacob: How long?

Hayley: Four weeks.

Jacob looked back at her in disbelief.

Jacob: You were here for four weeks?

Hayley: Every day.

Jacob's expression softened as he looked at her, realizing that while he had been unconscious, Hayley had never left his side.
