I'm taking a painting class for my senior year, and it's been a lot of fun. My teacher is having us work in watercolor first. It was hard at first, but I've started to get a hang of it. We've taken about 7 weeks to work on water colors. Now we're starting on Acrylics.
She had us work on four paintings at the same time for our first painting. Since we were just starting out she wanted us to learn from our mistakes, and apply what we learned to the next painting. She also didn't want us spending too much time on a painting we wouldn't be happy with.
As we worked on new paintings, she only had us work on two paintings at the same time. For this painting we had to choose a step by step video tutorial that we could follow. This just helped us figure out how to apply different techniques to certain objects.
