Hawks lied in his bed, staring at the ceiling.

His eyes stung, the exhaustion from many accumulating sleepless nights and stressful days were starting to get to him.

He had yet to report the suspicious behavior to anyone, not wanting to have to explain how he found out the things he did, because there was no way he, a new pro hero, would admit to spying on them through a bedroom window.

He sighed and turned his head toward his clock.

Bright red numbers reading '3:49am' shone in his eyes, causing him to groan and roll over.

He decided to get up and get ready for another work day, knowing he wouldn't have the privilege to sleep tonight.

Short Time Skip

Hawks leaned on his kitchen counter, coffee cup in hand, with a damp towel draped around his shoulders. The shower he had taken only slightly woke him up, but he could still feel the heavy bags under his eyes begging him to go back to bed.

He stood up and walked over to his couch, flopping down on it and turned on the tv.

The news channel came on, talking about the usual villain attacks and heroic deeds done the day before, until it transitioned over to a graph with a single, inclining, red line.

Hawks turned the volume up and listened intently.

"Teen suicide rates have been skyrocketing as of late, and the Fukuoka police department are getting more concerned by the day." The news reporter spoke. "The cause of these suicides have been reported to have a wide variety of different causes, ranging from an unhappy home life to sever PTSD and other mental issues."

The phrase unhappy home life caused Hawks to flinch a little, the image of the woman with the syringe flashing in his mind before fading away as the reporter continued on.

"If you or a loved one show any signs of suicidal thoughts, please call the Suicide Prevention Hotline at 800-273-8255, or call your local police department to report an anonymous tip."

It took him a minute to process the words she said before his eyes widened and he shot out of his seat. That's it! The solution seemed so obvious now!

He raced over to the kitchen counter for his phone and dialed the police department.

"Fukuoka police department, where is your emergency?"

Hawks grinned, pleased with the turn of events.

"Hello! I would like to put in an anonymous tip for uhh..." He thought of what to call the situation, "possible abuse and suspicious activity."

Hawks and the operator spoke back and forth for a while, exchanging information and forming a plan.

"I'm sorry to say, but we have been getting flooded with tips and the like lately, so we may not be able to get out there for a bit." The operator said hesitantly.
