Karl woke up in what looked to be a forest. He stood up and looked around. Large walls surrounded the small chunk of forest. The walls were made out of a bunch of random blocks, mostly dirt and cobblestone, and even a little obsidian, but somehow the walls were too strong to break. The sun was directly above, indicating that it was about noon. Karl wasn't sure how long he had been there, but he wanted to get out.
Karl walked along the wall in search of an exit. He eventually found the exit, or more like almost fell into the exit. It was a hole that went under the wall from one side to the other. He stepped in and stepped out just as quickly, stepping into a much larger forest. There were flowers and tall grass, as well as foxes running around berry bushes.
One fox ran around Karl's feet before running in a seemingly very specific direction, so Karl followed it. He walked for a bit before seeing a large castle. He could hear a horse galloping past, but he was too distracted by the fox to look at the horse. He walked to the front of the castle, where there was a large staircase leading to a path. He stood there for a second, looking at the area. There were two towers connected by a covered bridge, most likely a watchtower, but both looked to currently be completely empty.
The fox ran down the stairs and along the path. The path went across the lake to a house in the middle. The fox kept running towards the house, but Karl just stopped at the edge of the lake. There was a fence surrounding the lake, but the purpose of the fence was unclear. There was no way that it would keep anything in or out of the area. Suddenly one of the doors to the house opened, which Karl paid no attention to until he heard a voice.
"There you are Sketchers, I've been looking for you," The voice was rough but not very deep. Karl looked over towards where the voice came from. It was a man who couldn't have been much older than Karl, and definitely looked to be shorter, but Karl couldn't tell because the man was bent down petting the fox. Suddenly the fox looked at Karl, causing the man to look up as well. Karl made eye contact with him and ended up accidentally staring. The man had about mid-length black hair and was wearing a white t-shirt with a flame on it on top of a black long-sleeved turtleneck. Karl stared for so long that he didn't even really notice that the man was walking towards him. Suddenly the man was in front of him for Karl to shake.
"Hey, my name is S̸̭̣͍̦̄a̸͕͍͕͂͝p̶̢͙̈͑ͅn̶͉̖̯̞̉a̴̝̝̝͚̾p̵̟͔̖͒̾͠ͅ, Are you new around here? I haven't seen you around before." The man stated, holding his hand out for Karl to shake.
Karl furrowed his eyebrows for a second, he didn't hear the man's name. It was like the name was glitched, making it impossible to hear what was said.
"Hi, my name is Karl. And um, yeah, I woke up a bit ago in that forest over there- Where am I?" He asked, before realizing that the man was holding his hand out. He quickly shook his hand, embarrassed about not realizing before.
"This is the Dream SMP, more specifically this is the community house. People have been showing up a lot recently" The man look towards the area of the forest that many people, as well as Karl, had come from, then looked back at Karl. "Oh yeah, you shouldn't join L'Manburg by the way, L'Manburg sucks."
Karl giggled a bit, "I'll keep that in mind, I don't know where that is anyway. Actually I don't know where anything is-" He glanced around for a moment.
"I can show you around! I know everything around here" The man smiled brightly
Karl agreed and the tour began. Karl was shown around the entire SMP; everything from the large UFO in the sky, to TommyInnit's small dirt house in the side of a hill. None of the structures related to each other, and yet somehow they managed to fit perfectly together in a chaotic sort of way. Karl loved to look at all of the buildings, and it inspired him to want to build as well. He even loved L'Manburg, though he would never admit that to the other man. He wondered why the other hated that place so much, but he didn't want to ask now. That could be a question for another time.
Karl wanted to build too, but he wasn't sure where to start. There was a lot of empty space for houses, but he didn't particularly want to start with a house, even though he knew that he should've. Eventually, he decided to clear out land beside the Walmart. He placed down a sign in front of the area he planned to clear out that said "Karl's land - do not use"
Immediately after, he found the scenery in front of him to be fading away slowly as if he were falling asleep while looking at it. Soon everything went black.
