Aurora: 'It's been 216 years. I haven't changed in the slightest, except for my band. It's a black metal belt, wrapped around my head. I cut my hair short after realising how hard it is to fight and live with long hair. I've heard, but not much, of an institute called 'GENESIS', but I've never bothered to find out more. Until I heard that it's the perfect place for me. I don't trust it, though, so I haven't made a move yet.

I sat in the tall grass, my hair fluttering in the wind. It was the gloomiest of all the days I've seen, and I liked rain. It poured heavily, drenching me to the core. My top had turned grey after how much mud I've laid in. I closed my eyes and thought about something. Was there no end to life? I have lived over 200 years, and yet I don't look a day over 16. I have made no friends, and had no family. Once, though, I met this lovely barista lady with blond hair, and I came back day after day for my breakfast. She had noticed that... I never smiled. When she gave me my breakfast that day, she asked, 'do you not like the food?'. I glanced up and sighed. I shook my head. I did like the food, since it was the one thing I can marvel in. She wrapped her arm around my shoulder. I tensed up, unsure of what to do next.

'Can you smile, at least?... for me?' She asked, and my eyes had grown wide. I let go of my fork and stood up, fists clenched and tears throbbing at my eyes. I pointed a finger at her and mouthed with gritted teeth, 'Give me something to smile at.' I had left the shop and never returned.

When that topic gets brought up, I can never hold back tears.

PRESENT DAY...

I was always outside. Sun? I'm in the meadows. Rain? I walk around at night, and no one talks to me. Today was a grey sky with small showers here and there. My red coat was too hot to wear, so I wrapped it around my waist. I trudged through the crowded street, hands in my pockets. A sudden shout echoed from somewhere further down the road. I looked up to see what was happening, but a tall man stood in front of me with his black hair shadowing my face. I pushed past him, and ran down the cobbled path. My hair got tangled in my face and my coat got flung off my waist. A grey robot with blue markings and shades was trying to defend itself from a terrorist. He was a brown haired man with tattoos covering his arms, and a hood obscured his face. I grumbled under my breath and sprinted through the front row to try and stop them. The robot was twitching and sparking from the cut wires. There were multiple dents and scratches over its surface and metal sprang from within. The man spat down on the floor when he let go of the robot.

'GENESIS isn't allowed to be on these streets!' He yelled and people cheered, 'They're not meant to be ANYWHERE in this world!' The whole crowd erupted in cheers and yells. They shouted, 'BE GONE, GENESIS' and, 'STOP TAKING US!'. I was confused and in disbelief. What was with these people? Why do they hate GENESIS? I walked backwards shaking. Suddenly, someone shouted and a huge billowing wind pushed everyone backwards. Cars and people were swept up, but I held my steady ground.

'GENESIS IS ON OUR SIDE! IF YOU WANNA GET TO GENESIS, YOU GO THROUGH US! OR, more accurately,' they paused, 'WE GO THROUGH YOU.'

I looked at the bewildered faces around me and saw three people in the centre of the circle. One had huge ferocity, with orange hair and hoop earrings, the other had a calm frown on his face and running a hand through his blond hair, while the youngest looking(but still tall), had magenta skin and a buzz cut ponytail. She stared around at everyone. Her eyes landed on me. I pursed my lips and walked calmly up to her.

'I want to join GENESIS,' I spelled out with my hands. They looked puzzled.

'Are you... mute?' The girl with magenta skin asked. I nodded my head. The blond boy walked up to the front. 'You want to join GENESIS?' he asked. My face lit up and I nodded frantically. They looked shaken. The crowd suddenly dispersed. I whirled around, and saw the biggest ship I had ever seen zoom right in front of us. Wind forced us backwards, and I fell to the floor. My vision was a bit murky, but I heard a new voice speak over my head.

'Aurora, you are under arrest for committing murder to over 10, 000 people.'

These people... I should have never trusted them.
