The Tall Scary Kid

*Flashback*

(Y/N)'s POV

The bell rang which signified school was finally over. the teacher dismissed the class and everyone ran out the room instantly with myself not far behind. I walked out the front doors of the primary building, eager to go home and play with the new console dad bought for me yesterday . I can already imagine all the fun i can have!

But...

Before i made it to the car where my butler was probably waiting, i saw someone. A very tall someone with a scar on the left side of his mouth and brightly coloured blue hair. He was walking alone towards a group of girls before they fled in fear. I'll admit, if i were in their shoes, i would probably be pretty intimidated too. The guy looks like he's seen some stuff.

The guy looked down, as if disappointed before walking away. Being the curious (and sometimes reckless) person that i am, i decided to tail him. i hid behind trees, bushes, and pillars. Eventually, the tall stranger made his way to a bicycle and rode off into the distance where i couldn't follow him anywhere.

Although there wasn't much in the ways of interactions between us, i didn't get nothing. For one, he stands out. And not just because he's tall. The way he looks, the way he walks. what he wears, EVERYTHING stands out.

Our primary school is a very prestigious private school where only the rich or super smart can get in (or in my case, both) and most of the kids i know here are snobbish rich kids who dress all fancy with expensive watches, phones, et cetera. More often than not, they have fair skin with barely any scratches. Whomever i just followed doesn't fit that description at all.

Seeing as he's already gone, i cut my little investigation short and made my way to the car. Now where was i before that happened..? oh right! My game!

*Timeskip*

It's been about four days now since i started tailing this guy. Apparently he's a new student in a class one year above mine and im really starting to get the impression that he's not a bad guy. He's just trying to get along but everyone's scared of him. I honestly feel bad for him. Maybe i could...

*Riiiinngg*

The bell rang once more and everyone ran out the classroom like usual. I did so too but instead of running out the building, i made my way to the classroom of the kids one year above me to find the person i've been watching.

Eventually, i saw him in the classroom alone just looking out the window. I slowly knocked on the door and walked in, prompting him to look at me.

(???) "who're you looking for?"

(Y/N) "You, actually."

He got up and walked in front of me, looking way down to meet my gaze. The guy tried to act annoyed at my confidence but i can look past it. Now, that doesn't mean im not scared of him. In fact, if i didn't give myself a mental pep-talk last night, i probably would have wee-d myself already by now but i digress.

(Y/N) "u-umm... i wanted to be friends with you. I-im (Y/N)"

I extended a somewhat shaky and sweaty hand.

The tall kid looked at me in the eye and hummed to himself for a few seconds before flipping a complete 180 and laughed as he completely ignored my extended hand, lifted me up and hugged me tightly.

(???) "hahah! im so happy! i've been trying to get a friend around here for days but everyone runs away! Im so glad you want to be friends!"

(Y/N) "can't-... breathe-..."

(???) "Oh! im so sorry!"

After he realized that he was squishing the life out of me, he placed me down and apologized.

(???) "Im Hakkai. nice to meet you." he extended his hand which i shook. By the end of that day, we walked side-by-side out the school and we've been best friends ever since...

*Back To Present*

Mitsuya "(Y/N)!"

(Y/N) "hm?"

Mitsuya "come on! we're going to the Toman meeting!"

(Y/N) "coming!"

I dropped the basket ball i was holding and ran to Taka-kun. All members of the Second Division readied themselves and got on their bikes as i got on Taka-kuns.

A moment's later, we rode off into the meeting. Knowing what has previously happened and the current controversy between Pah and Moebius, i think i know what's going to happen next... 

War is coming...
