Outside ~ Part 3, The House

"God this place is always such a fucking mess- have you guys ever thought about learning how to clean for once!!" Jesse (Corvus coronoides, homonid) shouted at the others "And maybe put on some of the damn clothes they give us! I don't wanna look at your naked ass human bodies all the time! The longer you all act like animals the longer they keep us here you assholes." She shouted, trudging through the pigsty of a house; dirt, dust, old food, faeces, dirty clothes and other assorted items littered around the place. Jesse is typically one to thrive in cleanliness, contrary to everyone else in the house.
"Ugh, no one cares about the mess in the house Jesse, get the picture! Is anyone buying groceries today? I'm hungry!" Kazuichi (Sus scrofa, homonid) yelled in Jesse's general direction.
"What? I just bought some yesterday! What happened to all the food?" Jesse yelled back.
"Well actually Kazuichi we do care about the mess but none of us can be half assed cleaning so we put up with it. Anyway, Brooklyn ate all the food because SOMEONE left a rabbit unattended in the kitchen." Frank (Rhinella marina, homonid) said accusatorily.
"I told you I was going to be out today! I said couldn't watch her! It was up to YOU Frank not me!" Alex (Rattus norvegicus, homonid) responded.
"I'll poison you rat. Don't test me." Frank growled.
"Bold of you to assume I won't turn you into a purse first." Alex snarled.
"I swear it'll be you rodents that'll be the downfall of us, the rabbit ate all our food and the rat couldn't be bothered supervising, typical!"
"why'd you have to bring our order into this?" Brooklyn, (Oryctolagus cuniculus, homonid) squeaked. "Oh yeah?! What were you doing all day then? Snacking on gross ass bugs? Being an all-round asshole to people?" Alex barked. Suddenly Frank leapt at Alex and began scratching and biting him, Brooklyn joined in.
"Yeah! Fight! Fight! Fight!" Kazuichi cheered. Jesse rolled her eyes and walked down the hall to her bedroom and slammed the door.
The fight went on until Frank ran out of energy and gave up, which took about an hour.
Harry and Rose, (both Panthera leo, homonid) walked in the front door, carrying several bags and making idle chit chat with each other. Harry adjusted his glasses as he spoke;
"Dear me, what happened?" Looking at Alex, all bloodied up on the couch.
"Me and Brooklyn got in a fight with Frank." Alex answered grumpily. Harry and rose both cleared some space in the kitchen to put their bags down while Harry spoke to Alex.
"Dear oh dear will you three ever evolve or must you always fight when you have disagreements?" Harry spoke in a soft tone.
"It's not just us! Kazuichi and Banjo fight too! And Alejandra and Jesse sometimes!" Alex defended. "Yes I know that, but that doesn't help either does it? Just because they fight doesn't mean you need to as well. Come now Alex. Are you hurt badly?" Harry comforted and questioned.
"No I'm fine... just a few scratches." He replied.
"And what about Frank and Brooklyn, are they alright?"
"Franks fine, same with him just a few scratches. Brooklyn might need help though, she left the fight crying about half way through." Alex said.
"Alright. Thank you for telling me Alex, you should go wash up so your scratches don't get infected, Rose and I will go see to Brooklyn and help her get all cleaned up as well." Harry spoke, he walked back into the kitchen where Rose was unpacking the shopping bags.
"Rose my dear I'll put these away don't worry, could you go check on Brooklyn for me? Alex said she might be hurt, I'll come and help if you need once I'm finished putting the groceries away." Harry said. Rose nodded, he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before she walked off towards Brooklyn's room. Alex turned around and sniffed the air while looking at the fridge.
"You guys bought food?" Alex asked quietly.
"Yes dear, we figured that we might need a top up considering Jesse was the last shopper, we like a bit more protein in our diets and we decided to buy dinner for everyone else as well." Harry said with a caring smile. Alex smiled back at Harry and mumbled a quiet "thank you".
