Chp. 3 New Kids

I ate my pudding and my phone blast a Sevr'l Timez song. The ringtone my friends picked for me. I answered and the voice of Candy screamed "Hey At!" I laughed "what's up Candy?" Grenda could be heard in the background screaming "Oh my god!" Candy told Grenda to be quiet, "I passed through the Mystery Shack and it turns out there are some kids our age coming to town for the summer, they are from the city". I opened my eyes widely for a second "wow, Candy. That's amazing
... For you. You know I'm not into meeting new people." She sighted "I know" and hung up.
I felt kinda guilty, Candy would be so disappointed. So I called her back, it took a few rings, but she finally answered. "Hey Candy!" I said trying to be as peppy as I could. "Hi" she said. "Well I thought about it" I explained, "And?" She asked, I could hear the hope on her voice. "Maybe we could spy on their arrival?" I asked. "Yes! Thanks At TTYL"

Minutes later I left my room and headed to Pacifica's, after knocking the door she yelled "Don't come in I'm changing!" I rolled my eyes and left, heading to the living room.

"What is wrong with her?!" I hear my father yell, but I come in the room even though I know he's talking about me.
"Hi" I say as I walk in. "Atlantica, dear" my mother greets, giving dad a look so he shuts up. "Shouldn't you be getting ready for the parties your sister told us about?" She asked raising a (fake) eyebrow. "I don't feel like going" I sight, knowing if I don't leave now they'll make me go, "I, umm, have a date with someone" I lie, my parents look at each other "you are too young to date Atlantica" Great, I screwed this up. "You'll go to the parties instead" I'll have to go now. "But, I don't -" I start, but they don't let me finish, and with the ring of a bell I'm up in my room getting ready for a party.
