Chp 8: Ep 2. Legend of the Gobblewonker part 1

I decided to follow the new kid wherever he went, so when I saw old Stanford getting his fishing gear into his car I quickly ran to the lake. There he was when I got there. Looking awkwardly at Old Man McGucket as he chanted along with the new kids "Monster Hunt! Monter Hunt!" The new kids stopped and stared at the old man. "MONSTER... Er... I'll go" he said sadly and left. I saw Soos, the Mystery Shack's handyman pull in with a boat, S.S Cool Dude was written on the side. "You dudes say somethin' about a monster hunt?" He asked them. I ran closer to them hopeing they thought I was just putting my feet in the lake. "Dippy" was written on the new boy's hat. What a cute name. "SOOS!" Cheered the girl whose name seemed to be Mabel. "Wassup hambone!" Said the Handyman and they made explosion noises. "Dude, you should totally use my boat for your hunt..." I didn't hear anymore. I went to a cave and got our family's boat. I knew exactly where they would go for a hunt so I asked the captain to sail to Scattlebutt Island. After a few minutes I see S.S Cool Dude aproching. Mabel was playing with a pelican and Dippy was arguing with her. Their boat crashed on the side of the island and they got out. "Oh, hi!" I said trying to look surprised. "Hey" they all said at once. "I'm Atlantica, but you can call me At" Soos nods, as he already knows me. "These are Mabel and Dipper" he said introducing them to me. "Nice to meet you guys, are you here in a monster hunt too?" I asked them knowing they'd say yes. Dipper nodded. "Do you wanna help? " asked Mabel. I nodded, but Dipper didn't look like he wanted my help. "It's okay dude, we used to go on monster hunts all the time when you weren't here. At even writes a journal, like the one you found in the woods." Added Soos seeing Dipper's disapproval. "Fine, she can come" he said with a sight. He lead us into the woods of the island and when we came to a sign with the name "Scattlebutt Island" on it, we stopped. Soos covered the "Scattle" part with his arm. "Dude, check it out. Butt Island" Mabel laughed "Soos, you rapscallion!" I laughed and she turned to Dipper "Hey! Why aren't you laughing? Are you scared?" Dipper rolled his eyes "Pssh, Yeah, right! I'm not--" he got interrupted by Mabel poking his nose and blowing a raspberry. "Yeah, you are!" I laugh and join in, except I don't poke him. "Hey!" He drops his lantern "Quit...! Stop! Mabel! At! " I heard growling and stopped teasing Dipper, Mabel did too. "Dude, did you guys hear that?" Soos asked us. "What was that? Was it your stomach? " Mabel asked him. "Nah, my stomach normally sounds like whale noises." Mabel puts her ear on Soos's stomach. "Wow. So magestic" a possum grabs our lantern from the floor and runs away. Dipper gasped "Our lantern! Aww! I can't see anything!" I laughed "you are such a little kid" I took out my DS and lit the way with the screen. "Pffft. Show off" We walked for hours with no sign of anything. All I could hear was Mabel's rapping. "My name is Mabel, it rimes with table. It also rimes with... Glabel. It also rimes with shmabel. " I laughed. "Dude, we should be writing this down" Soos commented. "Guys, guys, guys!" Sayd Dipper alarming me. "You hear that?" The same growling noise as before was heard, but closer this time. I turned my DS off and ran to the boat without them noticing. I only had to wait there a few minutes and I'd be fine.I had ran about two feet when I tripped over a root "Fu-" then I realized I was alone, they had already ran TOWARDS the monster. I turned my DS on again and ran the way they had gone. I found them along with a look of disappointment on Dipper's face. "But... What was that noise then? I heard a monster noise." We all turn around after hearing the noise again. Just as I thought, it was a beaver with a chainsaw.
