If it weren't for Tsukasa, Toya would still be chained to classical music and despise music in general. However, that wasn't the case. Ever since Toya was young, he has always done classical music by playing the piano or violin. Sure, people would think it's normal, but his father, Aoyagi Harumichi, has taken it too far as to make him practice endlessly until the piece is perfected.
He didn't exactly have that many friends, but there was one person he looked up to: Tenma Tsukasa. If his parents and the Tenma siblings' parents never met, Toya wouldn't be saved.
Back when they first met, Tsukasa had already taken a big interest in him despite the other's response being shy. Saki, on the other hand was also excited to meet him that they somehow became instant friends. Toya did say he has siblings, but both went overseas when he was quite young, to say the least.
One day, Toya grew sick of classical music and despised it music in general. At some point during his visit to the Tenma Household, Toya, who was in middle school, managed to vent out his feelings to the older as he replied:
"It's your life, so you should decide on what you want to do. If you hate something, then stop doing it."
Those were the words of courage that made Toya no longer hesitate as he dyed half of his hair light blue in protest just to receive a long scolding from his father. He didn't care as he continued to run to Vivid Street and that was how he met Akito.
Tsukasa isn't just his savoir; he is an older brother the split-haired male never had. As an older brother, he has this never ending supply of kindness not like Toya's older brothers. If he hadn't heard those words from Tsukasa, he wouldn't be the Toya he is today, the Toya who moved on from his father, the Toya who became free and began to decipher his emotions.
It was all thanks to Tsukasa's kindness and warmth given to Toya. It was Tsukasa who made Toya be the Toya he is today and to him, the Tenma siblings are like the siblings he never had.
