OKKKKK GUYS. We're getting close to the end of this book. I've said this a couple times before: ITS A SERIES. The second book is a crossover with Teen Wolf, but you don't really have to see the show to read the fic. And you don't really have to read this book to read the next one.
BUT YEAH. THERE IS A SEQUEL COMING UP!!!!!!!!
AND I HAVE CHANGED SOME THINGS FOR THE ENDGAME PORTION OF THIS STORY
~time skip~
It's been five years. Five long years. The Avengers sat in the compound, scanning through names of people who disappeared when Thanos snapped his fingers.
A girl stormed into the room, her blonde hair billowing around her shoulders. She looked angry. "Where's Fury?" she said in a dangerously low voice. Before they could respond, there was a slight pop, and a man materialized out of thin air.
"Have you seen Peter?" He didn't sound angry, like she did. Just desperate. The Avengers stared at him. "Parker? Or Tony Stark?" They continued to stare at him. "Come on, guys, please. You're the Avengers. Tony was one of you, wasn't he?"
Natasha recognized him. His voice sounded so, so familiar. She just couldn't quite place it.
"They disappeared," Steve answered. "A powerful being called Thanos collected these objects called Infinity Stones. He used them to kill half of all living creatures. Peter and Fury both disappeared when he snapped his fingers."
"No," the man muttered. "No, I should of been there, I should have... I should have..."
Natasha marched up to him and wrapped her arms around the man.
"Natasha? Do you know him?" Rhodey asked her, a little freaked out.
"It's Percy," She answered. Percy buried his head in her shoulder.
"Hi, Angel," He said.
"Percy," Steve looked amazed. All the Avengers crowded around him. It had been over five years since he went to Camp Half-Blood and never came back, just as he promised he would.
"You've changed so much," Bruce remarked. He had. The grey streak in his hair seemed more prominent and a little brighter. It looked almost silver now. He skin was much, much darker than it was. He was much more muscular. His eyes seemed to be a darker color, too. Like the ocean during a storm. He had grown an inch, too.
"Yeah. Grief does that to you," He shrugged.
"No, I mean you look healthier." Bruce ammended.
Percy frowned a little. "That's because I was mentally ill before."
Bruce decided to let the matter drop.
"I needed to have been there for Peter," Percy says. "He was all I had left, and I failed him. My life... my life is in smithereens.
The blonde woman coughed. "Excuse me," She said, sounding annoyed. "Are we planning on doing anything about this? Half the universe died."
"I'm not sure what else you want us to do," said Natasha. "We already killed Thanos. He destroyed the stones. The best we can do is move on."
"And who are you, anyway?" Rhodey challenged. "Where were you when Thanos did all this damage?"
"My name is Carol Danvers. I was off protecting other worlds," She said, flipping her hair over her shoulder.
"Yeah well you should've been helping us," he responded. "That's the best you could've done to save those other worlds."
"Unfortunately your little SOS call didn't reach space," She argued.
