Chapter 16: The Search

Their discovery was held in a contained in a small glass box. After fiddling with some theories for days, they figured it had to do something with the monster that teleported Saitama. Genos went into the monsters and decided to have a little.. 'chat' with him.

Child Emperor:
"So, got any info about these things?"

Genos:
"He only said that this crystal was how he got his power, nothing else."

Genos:
"Maybe I should go and cause him physical and mental trauma."

Child Emperor:
"I'd disagree with that, we just need to convince him to give us more information."

Genos:
"But how? He's probably a step further than us."

Child Emperor:
"I know just the thing!"
He smirked.

Genos:
"So, what did you offer to him?"

Child Emperor:
"Well.. it's best off you not knowing what it is. Currently, our priority is saving Mr. Saitama."

Genos:
"You're right."

Child Emperor:
"But let's just say, I just gave him something he wanted for a long time."

Genos:
"And that is..?"

Child Emperor:
"I kept a promise, I won't reveal the reason why. Just like I said."

Genos:
"Fine."

Child Emperor:
"Anyways, he said he created the portals by harnessing it's power through experiments. And just like that, the portals can manipulate time and place. Allowing him to warp from timeline to timeline, and universe to universe."

Child Emperor:
"He may not have superhuman strength, crazy psychic powers, or even super fast reflexes, but he does have something far superior anyone could imagine."

Genos:
"I never realized we were facing a far more dangerous monster.."

Child Emperor:
"That's what he said when you first encountered him with Mr. Saitama, right?"

Child Emperor:
"Okay.. just give me two hours. The machine will be ready."

"Alright! It's done! You all can come in now!"

Tatsumaki:
"Ugh, finally. I also came here with a more suitable outfit for me so this better be worth it!"

Child Emperor:
"I assure you, this'll 99.9% work!"

Tatsumaki:
"What's the 00.1% then?"

Child Emperor:
"The probability of us disintegrating into oblivion."

Tatsumaki:
"HUH?!"
She shouted.
