The bell goes.

Deena takes her hand off my knee and stands up.
"What's your next class?"

"Oh um history" i say

"Yess me too" she says

"Hey si?" I ask

"Yeah"

"Do you think sams acting a little different".

"Yeah,maybe because of her Mom and dad fighting all the time."he replys

"No like around deena".

"Ehh no why?"

"Because when deena said she's not going to  cheer practice sam made a sad face".I say

"Your point?"Simon says

"You know what nevermind".

"Ok let's get to class".

Deenas pov

Me and sam sat beside eachother in class.
She kept staring at me though I don't know why.Did I do something wrong?

Were in the middle of a test and I see sams nervous.
So I reach under the table and hold her hand. She blushes.
I don't know why though because I've Done this before and she never blushed.

Sams pov

Deena just started holding my hand, I froze for a second to process whats happening.
She starts rubbing her thumb on my hand.My heart is pumping fast.

"Ms fraser,what did you get for number 5?"the teacher asks me.

"Umm" I look at my sheet on the table.i don't have anything written.

"france"deena whispers to me

"France" I say

"Good" the teacher says.

Phew close one.

Cheer practice

Sams pov,
I go to the locker rooms and get changed.kates also in the room.

"Hey Sam ill be waiting outside the school for you after practice ok?"deena says while popping her head in the door.

"Yeah ok" I say

"Ok bye" she says while leaving.
I smile while turning around.

"Hey"

"Jeez Kate you scared me". I say

"Sorry,so what you smiling at?"Kate says.

"What? Nothing". I say

"Someone's got a little crush".she says with a smirk.

"What no I don't".

"Oh sure,I seen the way you reacted when deena said she wasn't going practice".

"Yeah,I was just sad my 'best friend' wasn't going to our practice".I say.

"Hmm OK, well let's get going".Kate says while leaving.

Dang it how did Kate figure it out.Ill just pretend I don't.

After cheer

Deenas pov
Sam gets in the car.
"Hey".she says.

"Hey how was cheer?"

"Good, you could've made the last five minutes".

"Oh sorry".I say
"Hey? Are you ok?"I ask.

"Yeah why?"she replys

"Cause you've been acting kinda different lately".

"Yeah it's just everything with my mom  and dad " she says

"I'm sorry about that".

"About what you didn't make them fight".she says looking me in the eyes.

"I know but i just feel bad".

She smiles at me.

I break the eye contact bye starting the car and driving home.
