Shuichi had caught a creature jumping up to steal his choker. He instinctively took it off himself and held it in his hands gently, watching someone run up to him.
"I-Is this yours?"
The man, who seemed to be a lot shorter than he thought, caught his breath and looked up at him. "Yup!" He quickly took the creature from his hands and stuffed it into a suitcase. "What.. was that?" He giggled and looked back at Shuichi, "Niffler!"

Oh.
His eyes were pretty.
He was a detective- he'd obviously notice.
That was it.

"O-Oh- I've never heard that before."
"Of course you haven't, silly! Now, you need to come with me reaall quick-" He took his wrist before he could respond, teleporting him to a hidden alley across the street. "W-What-" He was pushed against a wall as a stick was held up to his head. "I'm gonna need to obliviate you so you can forget allll that just happened!!"

His hair matched his eyes.

"It doesn't hurt.." He glanced away for a second before making eye contact with him again, "Mostly."

The gradient was pretty.
Again, he's just a detective.

Before he could do anything another animal jumped at him, crawling all over him and trying to get his earrings and choker. "Ow-!" He got bit by one on the neck, it getting stuck in the loop. "Dammit- how'd you get out again??" He tried to push it out of the loop and back into his hands, holding it as he gently set his other hand on his neck to look at the bite. "Hm.. darnn guess I can't do that yet."

His hands were soft.

"C-Can you please tell me what is going on??" "You got bit by a niffler!" He said cheerily, stuffing it back into the case *again*. "Do you have any plans for the next weekish?" He stuffed the stick back into his pocket. "U-uhm-- n-no??" "Great! You're gonna be going with me for a bit." "Can you explain to me waht all of this is??" "Well you're gonna forget it anywayy- basically!!"

His face was pretty.

"You muggles have nooo idea that magic exists, but I was cool enough to be a wizard and get a TONN of these cute little animals and trying to make sure no ones a dick to them!! BUT!!! If all of you DIDDD know the BAM!! Everything goes to shit!! So THATS why I gotta get rid of it in that noggin of yours!!" he tapped his forehead. "But now I can't do that!!" He shook his fists in front of him angrily.

He was cute.

"Since Checkers over there decided to bite you now I gotta take care of you so you don't get sick!!" Shuichi's eyes were wide as he tried to process what he just said. "And.. what's your name??" "Kokichi Ouma!" He giggled, sticking out his hand. Shuichi gently took it, shaking it. "Shuichi Saihara."

His hand was warm.

"So.. where are we going?" He realized this guy was probably crazy. Magic? War? Niffler? Well- that one seemed real. Real enough. "The magic world!!! You're one of us now." He noticed Kokichi's face get hit with something he remembered, but quickly pushing it off. He'll mention it later. "Unllesss you need to get something from yout house before you crash at mine." He pointed behind himself, "U-Um, probably clothes-" Why was he trusting this random guy? "Alright!! Let's go!!" "Uhm.." He paused his steps. Kokichi suddenly realized how strange this was. "Do you want me to convince you that magic isss real??" "Y..Yeah.." "Then c'mon, Shuichi!!!" He giggled and stole his hand, running off into the forest next to them. "W-Where are we going???" "Just a little pond!!" God this guy was fast for being so short- how old was he? He looked around 5 feet, but he's seen a few adults around his height. He sounded mature enough but he acted childish- "We're heree!!!!" he giggled and sat down on a log and made Shuichi sit next to him.
