It was now 10 pm and let's just say I'm losing my mind minute by minute.
I called my right-hand man and told him to run a location on her phone and car. He did so and called me back in 15 minutes all this time I've been freaking out she was at the next house, I felt a relief and drove over there when I reached I saw the lights off did she go to sleep and not hear from me, how does she sleep not knowing if I'm ok, hasn't she seen my calls?
I tried opening the door but the locks were changed "Smart girl" I smiled and said to myself, I started calling her again and she still didn't answer at this point I wanted to kick the fucking door open but if I did that the alarm would go off and wake the whole neighborhood, I sat there on the steps and remembered there's a hidden door I went to the back of the house and pried it open. I was finally in I heard her sobs from downstairs I couldn't go up there I couldn't see her like that I caused that pain she's in.
I walked towards the room, the door was closed I gently called out to her "babe, I'm here I know you thought you saw something but trust me I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. I won't force you to open the door but I'll sit here and wait until your ready to talk to me".
She stopped sobbing and I could tell she fell asleep, I wanted to give her space but I just wanted to hold her, I pulled the door with the spare key I had, I saw her fast asleep looking like an angel. I walked over to her and kissed her on her cheek. I sat on the bed beside her and looked at her pretty face, her eyes were a bit swollen from her crying. I went to take a shower while showering the bathroom door opened "babe" I called out. I got no answer I pulled the shower curtain and saw her half-asleep peeing. "How uh reach in yah and how uh find mi? Gwan to uh gyal a she uh" before finishing her sentence she started vomiting. I quickly came out the shower and held her "she tried fighting me off and told me to let her go but I wouldn't I told her what happened with the girl and she calmed down a bit "mi still vex mi juss nuh feel good mi weak an mi aguh want uh tek care a mi" she said. I kissed her on her forehead and say "regardless I'll always take care of you. I helped her clean herself up and lifted her to the bed. " Wah duh uh b? Uh, eat from morning? "
"Yh mi eat but a the body wash mi nuh like how it smell"
"Then because uh nuh like the body wash scent uh vomit?"
"Yes from morning mi nuh feel good is like everything smell bad to mi, I was coming to you today to tell you I want you to come with me to the doctor but obviously you were too busy"
"SMH, b mi nuh tell uh wah happen already man uh know mi wouldn't duh nuhn wah mi know aguh hurt uh feelings" She laid on my chest and fell asleep. "I'm definitely taking you to the doctor tomorrow" I whispered in her ear.
'Vomiting, not feeling well'
A wonder if a really wah mi a think...
I fell asleep with peaceful thoughts in my head.
That night I dreamt of picket fences in the suburbs, cool summer days, and a beautiful neighborhood with nice neighbors my wife beside me, and our kids playing in the sun.
