8. Hiding In The Shadows

Hannah's POV

He was laughing. He was laughing. Ha! this Son of a bitch was laughing I watched across the field as the asshat also known as Rudy laughed with the pesto twins at something Andy said or maybe ollie said you know I can never tell them apart anyway it doesn't matter i could honestly care less about them their into that bitch Millie anyway

Oh but if he knew what was gonna happen later tonight he would be running for the hills although I want nothing more than to shoot his brains out right now i cant I have to be patient I mean if I get caught then ill be taken away and how will I be with Louise if I'm locked up

I just have to be patient

LATER THAT NIGHT

Nobody's POV

Louise stood in her room on her phone

L: I don't know T I think the lingerie's a little much

She said as she looked at herself in the mirror analyzing herself in the mirror seeing if she looked good

T: it's fine he'll love it believe me guys never think lingerie is over the top

L: (chuckles) thanks

T: your welcome now I have to go but tomorrow your telling me all about it

L; you got it

Louise hung up and smiled to herself meanwhile Rudy was walking towards the restaurant oblivious to the trouble brewing, he heard footsteps behind him he turned to find nothing he shrugged it off to being paranoid and continued walking

But little did he know Hannah was following him he continued walking whistling happily while she stalked up behind him quietly

He stopped for a second hearing breathing behind him he turned around, instead of hiding Hannah tried to stab him in the stomach he backed up before she could and screamed he couldn't see her face due to her hood he immediately started running

Hannah followed trying to catch up to him waving her knife around like a crazed maniac Rudy ignored the burning in his throat and the aching in his legs and continued running wondering if this was the night he was gonna die and then he saw it: The Restaurant he prayed Louise had the door unlocked like he asked and didn't lock him out as a joke

He ran up, grabbed the doorknob and swung the door open running in being quick to close it behind him Hannah scowled cursing herself for missing her chance to finally end his miserable life

So close

She thought before she ran away not wanting to be caught meanwhile in the house Rudy was leaning against door in the house catching his breath Louise heard the noise and went to the top of the staircase wearing her robe

L: babe you ok

He shook his head breathing heavily, Louise descended down the stairs and began comforting him

L: what happened

R: I don't know honestly some maniac was outside with a knife and he was chasing me

Louise furrowed her eyebrows in confusion she knows Rudy wouldn't lie and you never knew what could happen at night but it just sounded like something out of a horror movie, Still there was no reason not to believe him

L: let's watch a movie, take your mind off it

And ten minutes later they were watching pitch perfect on the couch after the movie ended Louise stood up

L: alright time for bed

Louise said holding back a smirk before slipping off her robe revealing her lingerie

R: (mumbles) wow

Louise smiled knowing what she was doing

L: night

She said innocently before walking off to her room Rudy smiled at her and ran after her he picked her up from behind causing her to let out a small squeal he turned her around and kissed her

The next morning Louise sat in the kitchen on the phone talking to Tina

L: last night was amazing T

T: sounds like it was but remember leave no trace dad will literally kill Rudy

Louise laughed her smile faded a little

L: there's just one thing

T: what?

L: Rudy came in last night saying there was some maniac last night with a knife but I didn't see anything

T: well you never know what can happen I mean our town can have a new serial killer

L: (sarcastically) again? we just got rid of the last one

T: good things never stay in our town

The girls laughed 

T: honestly I think its either a psycho or college kids playing a prank either way report it to the police

L: we will bye sis

T: bye

Louise hung up she grabbed a pop tart and went to her room Rudy was still asleep she smiled and plopped down next to him, she shook him awake

L: wakey wakey princess

Rudy smiled sleepily at her and she gave him one of her poptart's

R: thanks

L: are you gonna report what happened last night to the police

R: not until I get some evidence, do you have security cameras?

L: the pesto's do, do you want to check them?

R: yes

3 HOURS LATER

Louise, Rudy and the pesto twins were going over the footage from last night after a minute it showed Rudy running up to the door and someone following him with a knife in their hand once he opened the door they ran away it was to dark to see their  face and their hood was covering it

A: so...police?

R: definitely
