~ Isn't it sad when you get hurt so much , you can finally say ' I am used to it.' ~

Crystal's POV.

"I love you, too, Brent. I am sorry for acting so selfish. I don't know what gotten into me. You should really go, it might end up as a good opportunity. After all 'everything happens for a reason'," I say in a low voice.

"Don't you blame yourself!" He says and hugs me tighter this time.

"I think we should g-go!" I suggest. I am in no mood to eat or anything. I just want to get home and ju-just let out all the sadness.

"Yeah, we should," He says, sadness in his voice could easily be felt.

Silence and darkness is all we both felt until we reached our apartment.

"I-I think I should go now. I am sorry for hurting you, it was never my intention," He says. He comes closer and kisses me on my cheek.

I close my eyes, fighting back the tears. I watch him walk away but something didn't feel right.

"Brent!" I call out his name.

He looks at me, confused.

"S-Stay w-with m-me to-tonight!" I somehow manage to get these words out of my mouth.

He smiles slightly and nods.

We get into my room.

"I'll be taking the couch," He states.

"You can share the bed with me. That's no problem," I tell him.

He nods and sits on the couch. He face palms himself and lets out a heavy sigh.

I sit at the edge of the bed, looking at him, waiting for him to say something.

I clear my throat and ask, "So, when do you leave for L-London?"

"Next Tuesday. Morning flight." That's exactly one week from now.

"Are you done with your packing?" I ask him somehow trying to make a conversation with him, because this awkwardness is killing me now.

He scratches his head, "I actually thought that maybe somehow, I mean, you can help me. You know I am not very good at it."

His reply makes me laugh. "That's so true!"

He looks up to me and smiles.

"You remember when you went to that Mexico trip of yours?"

"Oh, no, no. Don't bring that up!" He grumbles, embarrassed by his own actions.

I laugh and continue "Well, you actually called me and my God, you sounded like a teenage girl who forgot her make up kit. I still remember you said:

I was doing my work and the screen of my phone lights up suddenly.
I look at the screen and saw Brent's name.
"Hey, Brent," I said.
"Crystal! you know what?" He said, sounding kinda terrified.
"What happened?" Is he alright?
"I forgot my clothes there. I don't have my perfume, my socks, my charger and guess what? I forgot my toothbrush!" He screamed causing my eardrums to burst.
"Stop shouting, will you!?" I said and laughed at his childish behaviour."
"I told you to let me help you with your packing stuff, but you didn't listen to me, boy. Hope you enjoy!" I laugh again and he groans in frustation.

"You know I really so wish I could have been there to look at that crying face of yours!" I laugh.

"Haha. Not funny!" He says, sticking out his tongue.
