A New Friend?

I stare wide eyed at him. How does he know my name? Maybe he's confused. All the students were staring at me so I hid my face in my sweater. "Mr.Morrison please take your seat." She said with a smile. Drake nodded and walked to his seat next me. I could hear Amethyst giggling up a storm in front of me. I cupped my face in my hands to hide my blushing face. 45 minutes later the class ended and Amethyst and me started walking to our History class. "Sooo who's your little boyfriend?" Amethyst said while bumping into me playfully. I stayed silent but my expression gave it away. "Oooh why are you blushing ey?" She said while wrapping her arm around my shoulder. "I'm not blushing, I just have a fever." I say through my hands. "Oh sure," Amethyst presses her hand on my forehead and says "cool as a cucumber." She smiled at me and I gave in. "Let's get to class." I said. "Oh your no fun!" Amethyst said as we made our way to our class. I finally sat down in my chair at our table and got my stuff out. Soon the teacher Mr.Logan came in and said "I'm very happy to say that we have a new student." I slammed my head against the desk and kept it there. Drake walked to our group and set his stuff down. Amethyst elbowed me on the side and I sat up to see him looking at me. Then Amethyst broke the silence. "So, Drake where'd you come from?" He looked at Amethyst and said "I came here from Miami." "Why would you come to San Francisco?" I asked, he looked at me and said "I was being-" He got cut off by the teacher as he told us to turn to a page in our text book. Then Drake passed me a note that said Bullied on it. Me and Amethyst passed him note that said Want to sit with us at lunch? He smiled and nodded. I smiled back and all three of us shared my book not even paying attention to class. But then I asked Drake something. "Hey Drake can I ask you something?" I said he faced his paper continued to write notes and said "Yeah, ask away." I breathed in deeply and asked "How did you know my name?" He stopped writing suddenly and faced me wide eyed and blushing. "You don't remember me?
Well it was a long time ago." I sat there looking at him puzzled. "How did we meet?" I asked. "We met at the music store and we swapped numbers but you changed your number and I never got it." He said a little embarresed. I finally remembered and imediatly felt horrible. "I'm sorry, I forgot about that day. We were on vacation and so much happened during that week." There was silence but then Drake spoke "It's fine. Stuff like this happens to a lot of people." He smiled and my heart skipped a beat for a second and I started to blush, but then Amethyst came back from the restroom. "Hey guys what'd I miss?" She looks at me then Drake and pokes my back. "You alive?" She giggled and practically stabbed my sides with her fingers. I arched my back and screeched at a really high pitch, but when I arched to much of my wait was on the back side of the chair and I fell on my back hitting my head on the floor. I laid there in a daze glaring at Amethyst while she was lying on the floor next to me practically dying from laughter. "I'm sorry that was just too funny!" Everyone in the class even Ms.Peony (my English fourth period teacher) was leaning on the wall she was laughing so hard. Drake was just sitting in his chair looking down at me and trying to hide his smile. "Are you alright?" He said in between giggles. He held out a hand to me and I took it and he helped me up, I grabbed my chair and bag from the ground and rubbed the back of my head. "Ow!" "Are you okay?" Ms.Peony asked still giggling a bit. I answered "I think but can I go to the nurse real quick she nodded and said "Can someone please take her?" "He'll take her!" Amethyst practically screamed while holding Drake's arm up. Drake looked at Amethyst surprised, the teacher nodded and he got up and asked "Do I take my stuff?" Ms.Peony said "Yes the periods going to end right now any ways." I told Amethyst "Meet you at the place." I winked and gave thumbs up, she did the same but after she made her hands into a heart and winked again. I blushed and grabbed my stuff and walked to the nurses office, Drake followed. He stopped me in the outside hallway. I turned around and asked him "Why'd we stop?" He grabbed my hand. I grew wide eyed and my heart was beating fast, I looked at him and he pointed in back of him and said "We passed the nurse's office." All those feelings I felt in that moment died in an instant and started walking again stiff as a board. I heard Drake giggle in back if me and I asked "Why are you giggling?" I kept facing forward so he won't be able to see that I'm still blushing. He said "No reason, just remembering how you looked when you fell right now." He laughed a little and stopped when we were at the nurses office. Amy the nurse looked at me then Drake and said "What happened?" I answered "I fell backwards in my chair and bumped my head on the floor." "Oh OK then come sit down," she paused and looked at Drake. I motioned him to sit also and he sat in a chair and stayed quiet. "Its just a bump just take these its to help with the pain." I took them with water and the bell rang. Amy gave me an ice pack and told me that I'll be fine. Me and Drake went to the cafeteria to get our lunch but instead of sitting in there I motioned him to follow me and I took him to the garden in the back where Amethyst was waiting for us.
