With a kiss to the back of his neck, Steve was awoken. Instead of Bucky initiating anything, he was climbing out of bed. Grabbing his glasses, Steve asked, "Where ya goin'?"

"To put up the trampoline," Bucky attached his advanced mechanical prosthetic arm. Smiling back at him, "Don't wanna make squirt wait until it's up. Especially not when this is the big present."

Steve nodded and looked over at the alarm clock. It was early, even for them. But he could understand that his husband wanted it to be up before the kiddos could bug them.

Putting in his hearing aids, "Need any help?"

"Nah," Bucky declined, "I should be able to do it myself. But if not, I'll holler."

"Gotcha," Steve yawned, climbing out of bed. Making the bed, he rolled his eyes when Greg let her annoyance known with a hiss. "What d'ya want for breakfast?"

"I think Ollie said something about omelets," Bucky said around his toothbrush, the paste foaming around his wide mouth.

"I swear, we've got the weirdest kids," Steve chuckled, getting his own toothbrush ready. "I mean, honestly, what five year old wants an omelet for his birthday breakfast?"

"Ours," Bucky proudly answered, spitting into the sink and rinsing off the brush. Giving one more kiss to Steve's temple, he left the bathroom. Making sure to pet Greg on the way out of the bedroom.

Steve left the master ensuite next. Pausing at the boys' bedroom to make sure that they were still sleeping, Steve hoped that they were having sweet dreams. Assuming that they were, Steve continued into the kitchen where Bucky was getting their coffee maker going. Which Steve appreciated.

"What do you want in your omelet?" Steve asked, getting stuff out so he could start prepping.

"Mmm," Bucky hummed as he thought. Tapping his chin, he decided, "Spinach, onions, and lots of cheese."

"Lots of cheese?" Steve teased, "Or lots and lots of cheese?"

"Lots and lots," Bucky smirked, leaning over to kiss Steve. "Just the way I like it."

"You want just egg whites?"

"Nah."

As Bucky entered the laundry room to pull out the trampoline, Steve said, "Egg whites are supposed to be healthier."

Bucky snorted, "Since when do I care about that?"

Playfully, Steve rolled his eyes and mocked, "Yeah, yeah, yeah."

Doubling back before leaving their house, Bucky kissed Steve's cheek. Steve turned to look up at his husband and stood on his tiptoes so he could properly kiss the alpha. Just briefly though as they had a small window for him to try and get the trampoline up before the boys woke.

"Just holler," Steve reminded. Getting a knife, he started chopping the veggies. Content in the moment as Greg rubbed against his legs, hoping that food will drop onto the floor for her.

"Meow," Greg cried, using the cupboard so she could stand on her back legs. Reaching out to touch Steve's leg as she tried to get his attention.

"No, ma'am," Steve told her, shaking his head. Moving the chopped veggies to the side, he told her, "You have food in your bowl."

She meowed again, arguing with him. Steve simply shook his head, but continued with her slicing and dicing. When he was through with that, Bucky came back into the house to get some tools. Leaving with a kiss to Steve's temple.
