Eyes fluttering open, Steve reached over for his glasses and looked around his bedroom. The bed turned nest was filled with down feather duvets, softly knitted blankets, and oversized pillows. Dispersed among those were two snoozing toddlers, one snoring alpha, and a wide awake eight day old.

Steve marked over Kit's back and kissed the top of his head. Slowly climbing out of the bed so he wouldn't wake his guys, he carried Kit out of the room. Knowing that at any minute he could cry, and not wanting him to wake his tired brothers and daddy.

"What sounds good for your bris brunch? Hmm?" Steve asked, opening the pantry. "I know that bebe is bringing a French toast bake, and bubbe is bringing the challah. But I'm craving a casserole. What about you?"

Kit just looked up at him, blinking those big blue eyes. Steve caressed over his chubby cheek.

"I'm thinking an egg casserole," Steve informed, setting Kit in the hand-me-down baby swing. Once the setting was just right, Steve walked back into the kitchen. Gathering ingredients for an impromptu breakfast casserole. "And looky here, there's some sausage and spinach."

As Steve flittered around the room making breakfast, the doorbell rang. It was a first for Steve to be awake when his in-laws arrived, and he happily made his way to the door. Feeling as though he had finally gotten the hang of early mornings after all these years. All it took for him to become a morning person was to have his own little ray of sunshine.

"It sure does smell good in here," Winnie commented, leading the way to the kitchen.

"Spinach, sausage, and egg casserole," Steve informed as he greeted each of his in-laws with a hug and a kiss to the cheek.

"Ooh, he's awake," Nana Bella cooed at Kit in his swing. "Good morning, handsome!"

Being only eight days old, Kit could only blink up at his great-grandmother. Not that she seemed to mind. She simply beamed on her way to the kitchen to make her infamous Vegan Ambrosia Fruit Salad.

Bubbe Ruth leaned over to coo at her great-grandson. Glassy-eyed as she told Steve, "He has Harold's nose."

Affectionately rubbing her back, Steve agreed, "He sure does. That's why he's so cute."

Wetly giggling, Bubbe Ruth nodded and gave him a side hug before making her own way into the kitchen. Taking the container with the risen dough with her along with a box of raisins.

As the three women got to work with their own contributions for the meal following the ceremony, Bucky made his grand appearance. All sleep rumbled as he pulled on a t-shirt. When he found Kit awake in his swing, he made a b-line. Greeting the newborn by marking over his chest.

"Something smells good," Bucky greeted the rest of the kitchen. As Steve pulled the breakfast casserole from the oven, Bucky wrapped his arms around his waist. Hugging him from behind, he kissed Steve's temple and said, "You're up early."

"Little man was awake, didn't want him to have the chance to wake everyone else up."

Just then, Kit started fussing and Bucky removed himself from Steve, teasing, "The best alarm clock is a crying baby."

Playfully, Steve rolled his eyes as he crossed the kitchen. Reaching the baby swing, Steve lifted Kit from the comfy, reclined seat. With Kit's cries getting louder, Steve started leaking in his supporter. So, he tried not to keep the eight day old waiting as he sat on the sofa and unbuttoned his shirt.

Greg curled up around his feet and Steve greeted her with a scratch to the top of her head. Turning his attention back to the hungry baby, he tenderly stroked over his dark hair. Reminded so much of when Oliver had been his age. Almost laughing at himself for how unprepared he was back then. Almost laughing again when he thought that he was anywhere near having all the answers.

Nevertheless, he gazed adoringly at Kit, loving him just as much as he loved his siblings. And when Steve started thinking about the little boys, they joined them in the living room. Still in their pajamas with messy hair as they rubbed at their tired steel-blue eyes. Both of them looked so much like Bucky that it made Steve love the goofy alpha all the more. Even if he did rile them up with promises of some sugary breakfast dishes and morning roughhousing.

With a small smile on his face, all Steve could do was roll his eyes and focus his attention back on Kit. And just for old time's sake, Steve handed him over to Bucky to burp so he could get around for the day.
