a cloudy autumn day about 3 years after marriage.
after handling all the chores, jake left some free time for himself to relax, enjoying the chamomile tea that's still steaming.
"it's getting colder nowadays, the winter finally came huh."
jake takes a sip, then he lands his glance outside the window, in such weather, jake could finally find himself a coat to keep himself warm.
jake-ssi, whenever you feel cold, find a coat yourself. later, there won't be anyone who would do it for you, because they don't truly love you, so you should take good care of yourself, okay?
after all those years, jake still remembers, the sentences that sunghoon wrote in the last letter, that was sent to him on his marriage day. but there wasn't a single sign of heartbreak and sadness. now jak finally realizes, that even 'till that moment, sunghoon still deeply loves jake. So that's why sunghoon didn't show any emotions, because to him,

time passed by, jake hasn't seen or heard any news about sunghoon anymore. time sends jake into a maze. confused and frustrated every day. he sometimes sits by the balcony and enjoy his tea time, but this time, he was alone. jake thinks about sunghoon almost every day, thinking about the time that they were still staying together in the small cozy house, the house that jake always complains about sunghoon about the rent, and his daily life, and sunghoon would always say those cheesy jokes to jake.
a full year, they met each other there and passed by.
everything's still the same, the time is still moving, people start to change, jake also does.

last words : it has also been quite some time for me to finish this story, sending a sincere thank you to all of you out there. Thank you for supporting me as well as the fic "will you be mine forever?".
about the ending, in the beginning, I was thinking to rewrite it to a happy ending, but after a while of thinking, I thought I'll keep it the same as the original, I'm really sorry if I made you sad about the ending. it's just that I thought that this ending is really similar to a few of the LGBTQ+ couples out there that still have to hear and go through being criticized, just because of who they really are and love. i was gonna write this in honor of Pride Month, but I sadly didn't finish it on time. But I hope that's fine :D Thank you once again for your support, and I'll try to write/publish more fic in the future. Love you <3.
