i felt like my life began the day you, kim mingyu, first called me over.

'i wanna see you'.

that vague message was enough to send my feeble heart into spirals. i, among all the pretties, was the one you wanted to see? it was flattery at its best.

the enigmatic sensation continued to take over until i knocked on your door covered with rust, dressed up to the nines exclusively for your eyes.

though excited, i did not know what to expect in the house of a boy who i hardly talked to through the school year.

and even if i did, it certainly wasn't you greeting me with a kiss looped with undrunk passion.

i admittedly was hesitant the first time around. you had a firm, healthy reputation with your girlfriend. i wasn't intending on getting in the way just because your mind was clouded.

having the chance through the small gasps for air in between the kiss, i whispered, "are you sure?"

you acted like you didn't hear me.

i could not simply shake off the uneasiness so, to your visible dismay, i put a hand on your chest to slightly tip you away, your attention finally on me.

"what about her?"

you almost laughed.

"her? augustine, come on." you stroked my cheek. "it's only you and me for the night."

to me, that was enough.

more than, even. your touch was like morphine; a life's worth of restlessness faded in a blink of an eye and was replaced an ecstatic rush. it disproved my theory of personal numbness to all feelings.

i wanted it to last forever.
