A Glitch of Magic - a Hermitcraft (and third life?) Fanfiction

Chapter 22

I already know this chapter's going to be PAIN to write. 

'Is everyone here?'

Hypno looked around at the remaining hermits. False, Iskall, Jevin, Pearl, Stress, TFC, Beef and Wels had gathered with him, with the others either on Herobrine's side, or unable to escape, like Grian and - on later examination - Joe, who had been apparently trapped as an incentive to get Cleo to obey. 

'What about the third-lifers?' Wels asked. 'You know, the 6 that arrived the other day?'

'No one's seen then outside of Herobrine's area. But apparently BigB died, as did Lizzie...' 

'She was there? When did she arrive?' Pearl interrupted. 

'I guess it doesn't matter, since she's dead.' Iskall shrugged it off disdainfully. Stress glared at him,

'Jus' because Mumbo's dead, doesn't mean you need to be grumpy all the time, Iskall.' She scolded, earning herself a furious glare from the Swede. 

'Anyway...' Replied Hypno with more aggression that required. 'We're all here, so what's the plan?'

'Don't fight Herobrine?' TFC suggested. 'He came to one of my worlds when I was a lot younger... ended up destroying the whole place when I tried to beat him. He'll just do the same thing to us.'

'And we can't kill him.' added a pessimistic Pearl 'I attempted in a world we both knew was on hardcore, and he survived.'  

'Maybe that's something to do with Scar and we can ask Cub about it?' Jevin suggested. 

'Nice plan, if Cub wasn't on their side.' Beef shot down the idea quickly. 

'He let in the third lifers...'

'And now BigB's dead. He's not doing very well at being on our side. Why do you actually think he's on our side?' 

'Because he's my friend, and I want him to be ok? Scar wasn't Cub's only close friend, you know.'

'Well now he's gone, like Etho and Doc and Mumbo and all our other friends that we've lost. Cub won't join us just because he's your friend, Jevin. Maybe you should grow up and accept that.' 

'Beef, enough-.' Hypno tried to intervene, but was cut short by Jevin.

'Cub's the only reason I'm in this world, by the way. Me and him go back even longer than him and Scar do. And why are you telling me to get over Cub not being here when you and Iskall CLEARLY still miss your friends?'

'I watched Mumbo die. Think yourself lucky that your precious best friend Cub is even still alive!'

'Why is it my fault now?! I said one thing, and now you're all teaming up against me. This isn't my fault!'

'BEEF, JEVIN, ISKALL, SHUT IT.' Hypno snapped. 'Does anyone else have anything to say? Wels? Do you have anything that might help us?'

'The only thing that might help is if we find a way to convince Hels to join us, but that's not very likely...'

'False?'

'I could spy on them? Then I could see if Cub is on our side, and if any of the others have weaknesses I can tell you about.'

'That's... fine. Who wants to join False with that?'

'I can.' Jevin glared at Beef as he spoke. Pearl nodded in agreement. 

'I'll join as well.'

'Great! When will you set off?'

'Now?'
