“I’m home.” I said as I walked into the house. Only silence met me as I walked into the door. I had just come back from a date with my girlfriend and my parents were expecting me to be home by now. I looked around and thought they probably left for an important meeting or something. I stretched my body and decided to take a nap since I was tired from the shopping I did with my girlfriend. My stomach rumbled so I decided to eat a snack first.

I walked into the kitchen, feeling famished and I was going to reach for a bag of chips when I saw a piece of paper lying innocently on the countertop. That’s odd. I looked at it and wondered why my parents would leave me a letter when they usually don’t .

I opened the bag of chips and reached for the paper. I put the chips in my mouth and was about to start chewing when I choked on them because I realized the letter was talking about my parents. I coughed and rushed to the refrigerator for a cold water bottle. I gulped the water down quickly and when I have calmed down enough I looked at the letter again.

The letters boldly stared back at me. The letter said,”Dear Sir Blanchard, I think it would be best if you came to The Heaven’s Rain Square tomorrow at 6a.m. If you do not come your parents lives will be in danger. However, it’s your choice to come or not. You will go there for more information, if you want to know the whereabouts of your parents.

“Well, doesn’t this make me feel jolly”, I thought to myself. First thing that happens when I come home today is seeing a letter that is threatening my parents and choking on some chips. That’s just great. I knew what I was going to do tomorrow. It’s not like I was going to leave my parents when they have done so much for me anyways. I knew that I can’t just rush out like an idiot so I decided to hear them out tomorrow.

I trudged upstairs feeling the worry weigh down my soul. I hope they would be ok. I don’t even think I can take a nap anymore. Better get prepared for tomorrow.
