*Crash* The phone could be heard but not quite. Even at full volume I doubt Gon would of heard the faint mumble coming from the other line. Gon's hands began to shake. What? Why where they doing that? Gon knelt down and picked up the phone and with the most strength he could muster he could only reply with "What?.." He said it shakily like how something dainty would shake in a strong breeze.

"Gon..." Kurapika was crying. He didn't understand. "Killua's funeral is in a week. Alluka will be there. Killua would want you to take care of them. I'm sure of it" Kurapika choked in between sobs which he pitifully tried to muffle with his hand.

 Gon didn't understand.

Killua was dead?

Funeral?

Alluka?

Gon looked at his family and they looked a him with  a baffled expression.

"Gon?" said Kurapika from the other line. His voice easier to understand as if he had regained his composure.

Gon was confused. Really confused. What did kurapika mean? Killua? Dead? No that isn't right.. But killua wouldn't have left alluka. How odd. Gon had not felt this way before. It was like when kite died but 100 times worse. Gon smiled. How funny. If killua wanted gon to play along with his little game he would do so. He couldn't actually be dead... Right?

"Ok Kurapika! I'll be there! Tell alluka to wait. Ok?" Gon smiled cheerfully.

"Gon.. what?" Kurapika was shocked. Gon could hear his friend stutter as words tried to make its  way out of his mouth but ended up sounding like a jumbled alphabet.

He hung up and frowned. How could Kurapika believe such and obvious lie. No way in hell Killua was dead.

No way.

"I have to go attend Killua's funeral!" Gon smiled as he looked at his family.

They looked distraught. After a couple of seconds of pure awkward silence Aunt Mito said,

"Such a nice boy though rude at times... I'm so sorry G-"

"Don't be!" Gon replied and Grandma and Aunt Mito were lost for words.

"I have to go quick to get Killua's sister!" Gon said, still keep his smile on his face. Firm and realistically genuine.

And with that he was gone without another word uttered.

"Poor Gon." Grandma frowned, "When he accepts it he will be so upset."

"He will.." Aunt Mito said, " But Killua wouldn't want him to be."
